    I'm in a hotel bedroom with a lamp. It's quite nice. I have no lamps at home, just overhead lights. Think I might invest.

    Yeah I love lamp.

    It always seemed very alien to me when I went to someone's house and they had the ceiling lights on at night, when watching tv or whatever. It's normal to some but quite weird to others. I'd never dream of putting on the ceiling lights in my house at night unless I've lost something and need to look for it.

    Wft is up with that? It's totally and utterly weird. I remember this house I lived in with three other lads and they had the big light on all the time - I actually went and bought a pair of cheap lamps for the front room from Argos it annoyed me so much.

    I thought LAMP was some sort of hipster codey acronym. I was running through possibilities. Then I copped that it was just plain Lamp. Lamps are for cissies. Burning torches are where it's at.
