It makes it so much worse when you feel patronised by someone younger than you too.

There, there love, that's fine now (pats you on the head):D

That's more of a poor English point then a homophone issue.. been and being don't even sound the same let alone mean anything similar. We won't go there:rolleyes:

Although i have heard some thick individuals refer to humans as what sounds like "humanbeens" before:pac: *shudder*

Perhaps this has been mentioned before but recently I was queuing in my local bank and there was one queue which fed three different tellers. When the customer was finished, the teller would simply say "next please". The queue was large but it was moving along steadily. So far, so good. However, an individual decided to roll up and queue behind a customer who was at, say, the third teller, thus skipping the entire queue. I was momentarily taken aback at her rudeness. But I soon accosted her and she gave me sob story about her car engine running on a double yellow line outside. She left all frustrated. Some people...

The womens toilets are usually much worse than the mens, especially pubs, clubs and fast food places. For some reason a lot of women just turn into filthy scum after a lot of booze. I remember there was a lot of difficulty getting a venue for our school graduation ball back in 91. There'd been a trend of girls trashing the ladies toilets for some bizarre reason:confused:

A lot of the lads hid booze in the shrubbery outside the hotel, and then weren't allowed to leave the hotel all night, I had a naggin of bacardi strapped to my thigh with a garter, forward planning ya see;):D

Haha! Tbh Davey of all the jobs I've had and the different careers I've gone into, I never got into the one career I really wanted more than anything - I failed the medical to get into the Army because of the gammy hip. Most of them were part-time minimum wage jobs two and three jobs at a time to pay my way through school and go on to college (left home at 16, stayed on in school to do my leaving cert, couldn't qualify at the time for the grant for college as I was still assessed under my parent's income), by the time I graduated and landed a job in an IT multi-national at 23 I'd racked up 26 jobs (counted them with a mate one night), various different roles as I got promoted in the ten years I was with the company, running my own IT consultancy, more university and various courses and voluntary work in parallel, effectively three jobs, then left the company at 33 after I'd a mild heart attack, decided just to keep myself busy with my business, but couldn't stay away from voluntary work, so combined the three (my love of all things tech and IT related, my business skills, and my voluntary work) to offer my services for free to those that need them.

My wife figures I'm more Forrest Gump than Homer Simpson though... :D

My housemates - the trivial things annoying me today.
Always know what's best for me, better than I do. I don't spend my money the way I should, I don't eat right and I most certainly don't live like I should.
And they snort, a lot. Gross.

There's a video going round today of Nico Rosberg doing a lap of Silverstone, in his new F1 car, which doesn't sound that remarkable. It's a 360 degree video, though: you can move the (virtual) camera, zoom in an out, which is great.

The thing is: there's a Twitter hashtag on his car, #KeepFightingMichael, which is to wish Michael Schumacher well as he recovers from his serious head injury. It's also great ... except that, if read literally, it's telling us to Keep Fighting Michael. Why, what did he ever do to me, that I should keep fighting him? :o

What it should say is "Keep Fighting, Michael". That single comma fixes the meaning of the phrase. But there's no room for a comma in a Twitter hashtag ...

You are the type of what the age is searching for, and what it is afraid it has found. I am so glad that you have never done anything, never carved a statue, or painted a picture, or produced anything outside of yourself! Life has been your art. You have set yourself to music. Your days are your sonnets.

Stupid predictive text in my Nokia, does not recognise names and when I switch to letters with the # button, type the name, switch back to predictive and scroll back to the name it doesn't pick it up like my old phone where you could retain the name by memory. Its annoying to have to switch modes with the # button all the time.

If you want to get into it, you got to get out of it. (Hawkwind 1982)

People who whistle. What makes it even worse is when they dont whistle an actual tune, just a few (usually 8) random notes that mean nothing.

Also people who make the clopping noise with their tongue, as well as those who do that weird sound effect where they purse their lips a bit and blow out a few (usually 5) times in fast succession.

Why do they even need sound effects in the first place?

    +1
If i was "Emmaw", I would firstly shove his ipad where the sun dont shine and then when he was sleeping tap a tiny needle into his spine and leave his spinal fluid drain slowly throughout the night...

This add... good god i hate it... it makes me want to boycot andrex..

It's a €3 fine if you pay within 28 days... Any longer than that and it's your own fault!
