    Champions League back at last!!
Gonna look into it a bit more but surely city are overpriced at 19/10. Barcelona's away form ain't great (recall away defeats to ordinary sides like Milan, ajax and celtic in the last couple of years)

They've won one of their last 6 away games in the Champions League losing 3, drawing 2 and winning against Celtic

    Nice bit of info.
For the plain fact is that Barcelona have only won four of their last 15 matches against Premier League sides. In the same period they've lost five of their games, and drawn six.
Hardly the all-conquering Catalans of popular imagination, then.
What is more, all of those victories apart from the 2011 final against Manchester United have been on home turf; they have not managed to beat an English team on English soil since their last-16 match against Liverpool in 2007 - almost seven years ago.

I don't think they are overpriced with Aguero and Fernandinho out.

    MOD:

    Guys and dolls,

Please remember this is actually a tips thread.

Anything you just fancy without reasoning, please dump it in the Daily bets and banter thread.

Same goes for the bet365 free bet. Dont just dump your "activation" bet here.
We dont need 17 posts here saying people went on over 0.5 or under 8,5 goals in order to activate the free bet.

    Thanks

Lyon are sending an extremely weak squad to Odessa for their Europa League game!

Gorgelin, Vercoutre - N'Gouma, Sarr, Tolisso, Bisevac, Zeffane, Koné - Fekir, Tsimba, Mvuemba, Malbranque, Ferri, Bahlouli, Danic - Briand, Ghezzal, N'Jie

This is basically their youth team, the bolded players are first teamers... Vercoutre is the back up GK and he sucks, Zeffane, Mvuemba and Danic are first teamers but get little playing time usually.

    Chernomorets Odessa DNB @ 1.83
    Chernomorets double chance @ 1.45

Lyon did the same thing vs Rijeka : http://int.soccerway.com/matches/2013/11/07/europe/uefa-cup/hnk-rijeka/olympique-lyonnais/1584789/
the difference is that now there's no Gourcuff in the team so they're even weaker, also I rate the Ukrainian league higher than the Croatian league and Chernomorets have a good record at home.

Infor maybe better doing a sticky for those bet365 free bets looks like they are here to stay?

Looking at the Europa and a team who have caught the eye this season is Red Bull Salzburg.

13 pts clear in the Austrian Bundesliga with a GD of +55 in 23 matches.

14 goals in their last 5 away games, scored 3 away to Standard Liege who are 10pts clear in Belgium.

First game back after the Winter break they won 6-0 at home and then beat Sturm Graz away 4-1.

Of course the Austrian league is obviously weak.

They have their league wrapped up so they will fancy themselves to have a go at EL progression away to Ajax.

1/3 for Salzburg to score 1 goal or more appeals big time.
13/8 for Salzburg to score 2 or more also.

Alan with 18 goals in 20 domestic games and 4 goals in 7 EL games anytime goalscorer 11/4.

Soriano has 17 goals in 15 league games also. 1 of these 2 always seem to score.

Ajax's defence has been impressive at home this year but it all depends on team selection.

If they can nick a score draw in Amsterdam, I will be backing them big in the second leg at home where they've scored 42 goals in 11 games.

The only issue with the Ukrainians is their fitness and sharpness during the winter break.
I see Chernomorets have only played 3 friendlies since Dec 12.
Would be good to see stats for the eastern teams during their winter break.

Sticky isn't needed. Just create a seperate topic though that can be bumped up when the offer comes up?

I am not stopping you. Go ahead.

I am just saying this thread shouldnt be flooded with the pre game free bet tips and that a stickie isnt really for this kind of things either.

    Leverkusen v PSG
I think PSG will have too much for Leverkusen in this tie. Leverkusen have slipped up recently in the German league while PSG are going strong in France....... Paris Saint-Germain @ 2.25 Bet Victor

    Man City v Barcalona
I think City will really want to win tonight , they dont want to go to the Nou Camp needing a win so I will go for Manchester City @ 3.10 Pinnacle

Just noticed Messi is 6/5 to score anytime on Betfair. Has to be worth a few quid !

I would agree with that. I think the selection of DiMichelis in particular sways it for me. Made it my pre-match bet on 365.

    Taking Over 3.5 Goals @ 2.86

Both attack minded. Both will commit men forward if they go behind. Both never settle for a 1 goal lead. Even with a few out, City still have enough to push forward. City know how to score at home, and Barca can score anywhere (if they feel like it).
