Fish finger sandwiches with tomato ketchup. I get lots of abuse for that.

actually, that sounds kind of yum - must try it! Kind of like Filet o fish from McDs?

I cant understand the amount of people who order big macs and then remove the gherkin. Why would you order something that has a core ingredient you dislike? It would be like ordering a BLT and hating tomatoes!

Maybe, because they like burgers, the burger here is the main ingredient of a big mac.

    Brussels sprouts.
    They're grand.

Just don't make the mistake of cooking them.

Big into raw fish, bleeding meat and oysters. Any type of seafood really.

Love pickled anything and really stinky/blue cheese and go nuts for anchovies. I get a lump of Roquefort every Christmas which I eat raw, the oozier the better.

Hate things other people like though, like curry. Curry! YUK! And tubers like parsnip/turnip and celeriac. I think celeriac is utterly rancid.

To the person who likes cilantro, most of us here call it coriander, and it's one of those foods that for some reason taste amazing to some people, but hideous to others, for genetic reasons, apparently.

Also, pineapple is amazing raw, but should never be put on pizza.

That reminds me - steak tartar, yum, yum!

Any kind of Black Liquorice - especially the salt kind you get on the continent!

Also haggis, black pud, garlic (love the stuff), very rare steak, gherkin, Brussels sprouts - actually I eat literally any vegetable; Guinness (doesn't really count now but it's been my pint of choice since I was 16 and everyone my age back then thought it was really weird that I drank the black stuff!)

Sushi, although, that said, most people that I've heard of trying it like it, I've only ever heard of one person trying it and not liking it, it's just most people won't try it in the first place. Also, I love haggis, one of the tasiest things I've ever had. I also like prawns, which I've found a lot of Irish people seem to dislike, and I'd love to try lobster, but I've just never have the chance.

A friend egg sandwich with peanut butter, the chunky kind you see, spread on the white loaf. Cut into quarters. Served with a sprinkled pack of Tayto and an accompanying can of Bavaria. That's dinner sorted.

    Cup full of steamed Broccoli.
    Slice of fresh batch bread.
    Generous spread of butter.
Two thin slices of cheddar cheese.
    Dash of mayo.

    You're welcome.

Broccoli and sprouts. Most people seem to hate them but I can't understand why, they're lovely.

Add chicken & mushroom pot noodle to that and you have yourself one hell of a messy delight.

    Pickled herring from Ikea.

I was being brave and expected it to the same as a fish monger smells.

It turned out to taste sweet and gingery and goes very well with rye bread / crackers

    Sushi too. And Kimchee.

And milk. The only one who drinks it in my house....

No, thats just what welfare class Irish parents feed their kids.

    Most people know better.

Try shopping somewhere apart from Tesco and you'll see people with food in trolleys which doesen't come in cardboard boxes.
Yep. I ate very little processed food as a kid and so did most of my mates. Lots of fish, fruit and veg.
