    is there such a thing? need to discuss a problem but don't want to talk to my gp - don't feel comfortable

    If you're uncomfortable going to your own GP, just go to a doctor a bit away from where you live. ;)

    Yes, but you should probably get checked physically first by a GP - not necessarily your own GP if you can pay to see another.

    Sorry OP - but as per the Forum Charter, this forum cannot provide personal recommendations for doctors or any other business.

    As per the charter, there is an excellent thread in the Psychology Forum on how to go about finding a counsellor, therapist or psychologist for yourself HERE (part of which JuliusCaesar has linked to) which we recommend you read instead. However, I'd recommend that you see a GP first, as you may need a referral.
