I'm alive!! Literally.

However my FPL hopes got blown away, I'm glad the power just came back as I'd have been on Ade -> Dzeko transfer meltdown last night otherwise, as it was I cried myself to sleep on my own. I've got a lot to catch up on it seems.

Up to 38k now from 125k 4 gw's ago. Wildcard and transfers after have almost all worked bar jrod and eriksen which hopefully will be changed soon.

i've clawed my money league back from 100 pts to 29 so hoping to keep going until the end now. the other lad appears to be losing interest but i think he's simply getting it less easy at this stage!

havent thought alot about these blank & dgw's though, seems like that could make or break the rest of the season.

I'm actually far too busy with various things going on in my life to care too much about FPL at the moment which is just as well. Those cancellations last night really fúcked me up, Coleman, Yaya, Mirallas, Ward and Dzeko (add Eriksen to that list), left me with 8 scoring players, goalie and 3 defenders got me 35, 4 attacking players got me 11:(. Pushes me close to dropping out of the championship in that FSA head to head qualifier.
At least Spurs won, oh and Dawson was dropped, I caught that smart comment directed at me while flicking through this on my phone last night:P

Only logged into the site today for the first time since Wednesday afternoon, been trying to block all things FPL out of my mind. Had a right stinker of a couple of weeks and down to 17K overall.

I've been avoiding the site since the last game week. Lowest score I've had this season - 37. Lowest game week ranking if the season - 1.7m. Dropped from 19k to 29k overall. A solid season is being slowly derailed post-wildcard.

Some people have had a pretty unlucky run the last few weeks - I think a lot of it is down to the fact that if your team struggled in GW25 you probably struggled in GW26 too. Sturridge, Adebayor, Lallana, Gerrard, Ivanovic all performing again for the second week running, and Marshall pulling 11 points out of nowhere while Mig got an unlikely 1. Bony, Giroud, Ozil, RVP etc all failing too.

Ive had a very decent run since i used my Jan wildcard at first chance, would be happy enough with a top 5k finish given i forgot to change a few captain choices and teams over the season.

Not sure "luck" comes into it all that much tbh. The first list of players you mentioned are all bang in form. The second are not.

No surprises with the first list out scoring the second bar maybe Marshall. But, even regarding Mignolet, Liverpool have kept 1 sheet in 10 iirc.

Ive also had a great run since my play on Jan 1- jan wildcard 160k to 23k, Rory C on a great run since playing it early aswell. Lemlin on a great run and he played it near the end. To me it just shows as I said all along there is no difference one way or the other with when you decide to play the Jan wildcard. Its about playing your wildcard correctly and getting a little bit of luck with injuries.

Dropped from 40k to 77k the week before I played my wildcard. In the 4 weeks since the wildcard I've risen to 7k. A lot of us have gone on a good run with pretty much the same team.

I'd have to dispute this. For me, RoryC is an example of someone who played the wildcard too early and I've said this previously.

3 four point hits and seven transfers in 4 weeks since is not a good example for me of a well used wildcard. Particularly as there was a 4 point hit immediately after using it.

RoryC is on a great run alright but I wouldn't agree that it's down to using his wildcard early tbh.

I put my recent good run down to playing the wildcard early. I've gone from 25,000 to 1,700 since I used it.

Got a decent 52 pts (39 of them from my defense (keeper + 4 def) from 10 players.

Have 7 (maybe 8 if Hull lose tomorrow) and a half (yeah Eriksen's probably only worth a half at the moment) players currently for GW 29.
