I've had a ridiculous run the past 3 weeks.

Scores of 73, 76 and then 80 last night has seen me go from 280k to 56k in the world! Was also 60th in the FSA Qualifiers but now 33rd and in touching distance of 20th!

up to 23k after 9 weeks of green arrows now. Made it into the fsa premier league now aswell after starting off in league 1.

79 pts has me jump from 25,800 to 10,188. Yaya not playing meant Kos in off the bench :)

Took quite the tumble to 16,000. I was 16,000th three weeks ago. :'(

Down 12K. People ahead of me pulling away, people behind me making good ground. This could be the start of the end to my season.

In paper I have a strong team for GW27, but really bad to have your worst week of the season in Feb after using 2 wildcards

54 points moves me up to 53k from 60k, happy enough given the game week

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

Despite getting shafted by the postponed games and having Suarez as captain, I got a decent stroke of luck with Arsenal keeping a clean sheet and jumped a lot higher in the rankings than I thought I would. 71 points from 9 players bangs me up to 3,185th. The last four weeks I've been on a massive heater scoring just shy of 300 points!

Have two free transfers going into the next set of games, hopefully I'll use my last bit of luck and Chelsea will knock City out of the FA Cup at the weekend. Have a lot riding on the result of that game. City winning will mean having to dump my City players and therefore won't benefit from their Sunderland DGW as I'll be in the same position as people who don't currently have them by the time the game comes around.

Finished on 59 points but I managed to field 11 so relatively disappointing result. Snuck into top 10k though

Ouch Lucas... you've gone from 8 points ahead to 60 points behind me in 4 weeks! This game can be cruel.

I can't seem to break free from the 28th-33rd spots. Had I held off on bringing in Dzeko for Adebayor before the Norwich/Everton games for a 4 point hit, I would be in the top 20 though. Such is life :(

75 for the week despite captaining Suarez. Up to 397 in the world.

Now 66 points ahead in one competitive private league. 36 ahead in the other.

Top of the PL in the FSA Pre Qualifier Rankings (and yes, despite the season not being nearly over I will gloat about this because I don't expect it to last ;))

Perfect time to have a ten day break from the game.

    Great success :D

14 pts behind you. "Joint 2nd" in the FSA PQR. And first time ever I break into the 3 digits club. 773 in the wolrd  :D. Sounds almost too good to be true!

In GW 21 I remarked that you and I had exactly the same amount of points. I went ahead of you in week 22 but since then I've bombed and you've flown!

The gap is now 70pts! So I'm glad you're not in any of my leagues!

59 points from 10 players, despite captaining Suarez.
8 came off the bench for players who didn't play due to postponements.

In to the top 300,000 from a lowly 800,000 in mid December.
    Currently on 1471 points.
2 FTs waiting for the next GW

Finished on 80 and moved up over 107k places. After captain Hazard fail and shaky start to Tuesday night, a great result overall. The differentials made the difference this week.

If one is left with 2FT now i assume 1 has to be used before next gameweek to have 2 FT again after next deadline? Am i right?
Also my only differential that somehow slipped under the radar for a while will be gone next week - Adebayor brought a lot of attention to himself after last night...

    It wasn't just last night,
Ade has been playing a blinder lately

Great going, especially since GW 1 was a DGW (Che, Villa I think) and a fairly high scoring one.

There is a thread or two on the league if you have a quick look back (on the phone so can't link and it takes a bit of explaining)

Quick explaination: 80 active guys from this forum (FSA) in a league at present.

Its pretty competitive, I'm 170k and in 56th out of 80. So I'm in the 3 tier at present.
Think you need to be in top 25k to be in the top 20 (Prem League/Top division)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,369 ✭✭✭the incredible pudding

70 points despite not having a goal scoring defender, so i'm pretty happy with that.
8th successive rise (thank you early wildcard) for me so i'm now #1711 and in a pretty good position in my private leagues.
Yesterday could have been terrible, I'm happy it turned out pretty great!

    Top 5k: 1,633

Going by previous years the end score should be pretty high. 2 years ago I finished 4,500th with a score of 2,206. This is an average of 58 points per week. 59.5 points per week would see you safely inside the top 1,000. Last season I finished 9,000th with a score of 2216 which is an average of 58.3 points. You would have needed an average of 61 points to see you into the top 1,000. This season we're only 26 weeks in and you would already need an average of 64.2 to make the top 1,000! And we haven't even hit the DGW madness yet...

We could start seeing stupidly high scores of 2,400+ like in the Ronaldo years. Think the winner in 09/10 scored over 2,500.

It's great to be going into the break on the back of a good run. You can just sit back and relax. For those who have had poor weeks, it's a killer though because you're left contemplating where to go for the next ten days.

I've only had two red arrows since GW9. I was at 376k then. Those two arrows were also IMO because I delayed my wildcard. I lost 4k places but the minute I played it I bounced back up.

The problem now is I'm running out of places to go. I've never been this high, this early, before. Even two seasons ago when I finished top 500 I wasn't near this high at this stage from what I remember.

I like to have the momentum of gaining places week-on-week but that's going to disappear soon. I'm not expecting to win the thing at all but if I'm at 397 now it's alot more likely I'll go down than up to be honest. My aim now is to play it safe and remain in the top 1k if possible.

My private leagues are what matters and the two remaining competitive ones I'm 36 points ahead in one and 66 in the other. My opponents now have ten days left to stew over and wonder how they can try to make that up. They've been trying to since before Xmas and haven't yet so it has to be hitting their confidence.

Can't remember who the poster was that disagreed with me when I said that this game hits people psychologically. Have a read of this thread last night for all the proof that's needed.

I finished 324 two years ago with a score of 2293 so the average points per week for a top 500 finish would have been 60.34 points a week.

This season I'm at 397 with 1689 points after 26 GWs so that's an average of 64.96 or nearly 65 points.

This season there have been alot of players giving regular returns though - Suarez, Ramsey, Yaya, Coleman for example. That hasn't happened in previous years. Also, RVP was the key captaincy choice two years ago but he established himself later in the game due to injuries at the start of the season iirc. Suarez has been providing decent scores for a captain choice from early on.

Only getting around to checking the updated positions now. A score of 63 sees me rise almost 30 places to 63rd overall. I would have expected to fall with that score so delighted to rise.

Sturridge and Adebayor were the heroes, with Adrian, Sagna and Lallana chipping in with decent points. I managed to field XI, not that it meant much given that Olsson (0) and Bradley Johnson (1) were the 2 subs that came in for Yaya and Evans.

This little break is very welcome, and I've 2 FT heading into the next GW.

Keep it up lad. Yourself and Steven81 are top 100 so would be great to see a Boardsie win it.

Your not far behind and with these DGWS and cup coming up it will make or break people, bit of luck and one of us could do it. I am still left in cup too.
