Ford focus 2003 keyfob

    I bought a ford focus ghia yesterday. And it came with a bog standard key with no buttons. So i have purchased a used ford key with fob off ebay. And have read that i can reprogramme it to work with my car by doing the switch on and off routine. Wil i be able to use this used key as my central locking opener. As the key will be off no use. I jist wa t to put it on a keyring witb my car key. Will i have any problems

    yes you can use as a central locking opener, you could also get the new key cut the take the pats chip from your old key & put it in the new remote key.or
    you can have the new one programmed at any ford dealer,€35 I was charged when I supplied the remote & key already cut:)

    Thanks :-) not botherind gettin a new key cut. Just want to use the second key/fob on my car and was wondering wether it would program into my car even though it has a key from another car in it

    yeah,it will program no problem,have done it lots of times myself:)

    Does anyone know if a key fob will work on a 1999 ford focus 1.4 ?
