Peugeot 206 1.4 hdi glowplug light not coming on

    As above the light will not come on hot cold what ever and my car is Smokey in the mornings as a result of that (white diesel smoke smell)

    Anyone with tips fix whatever ?

    I'm not sure about the 1.4 but the glow plugs in the 2.0 HDi won't pre-heat at all unless the temperature is below zero, and even then it's only for a split second unless it's like -10 or lower.

    I have a similar problem with cold starts and replacing all the plugs has not made any difference. I'm starting to suspect it may be an injector issue. I'm getting a diagnostics kit (Lexia 3/PP2000), which will hopefully tell me something useful...

    could well be injectors ill be getting them reconditioned in the summer its not a major issue just annoying when starting cold with people around ha
