I can envision the legendary stories in centuries to come.

"Back in your great great great grandfathers time people were forced to pay for news if they had a device in their house which was able to receive it, in more enlightened countries people just paid if they wished to see it. Many did not bother watching but were forced to pay regardless. Since the wages were guaranteed the gang of gangsters just paid each other more and more. The legendary woman known as Anne Doyle was a drone lifeless presenter who simply read out lines presented to her, a simple task that a child could have managed. Yet she was on higher wages than rulers & leaders of many nations at the time, let alone doctors and leaders of entire police forces"

"yeah right grandad, no way that would have been tolerated, the story of Cu Chulainn was more believable that than ludicrous nonsense."

Legend must be one of the most hackneyed expressions used today. Everybody from those necknomination dopes to any irish sports person who has ever one more than a lucky bag is called a legend. Or even worse....a ledge. The accolade has lost all meaning.
