50 points with 10 players, not good, not bad.

Suarez (C) hurt. For the first real time this year. Really considered Sturridge (had it vice for all week until I switched to Yaya afraid of the tube strike to take place). But just couldn't ignore the 50+% of captaincy from FFS (C) poll... I'm sure over the course of the season it is the right method. But when such a GW happen I'd love to have more balls :D.

Anyway it's turning like a great GW for me (should be over 50 pts) but could have been even better and I know from previous years that when you can score big you have to score big. Not all GWs are turning in your favour.

For the ones who watxched the full game, was that the case.

Put on the last 15 and Suarez was pretty much upfront. Had he been a bit more selfish at times he could have nicked one.
I watched it sturridge was central and suarez was predominantly playing off the left. He still hit the post and was close to a couple of assists. Its got to the stage where its a toss of a coin which one you should captain.

42 from Hazard (c) last week, Studge (c) this week. Went with gut and read nothing on any forum, might be the way forward.

66 from 9 after tonight if bps stay same, no complaints.

78 from 8 pre bonus. That'll do pig.

Yep, that's the killer. Had the City game played I would have still been on 70, plus whatever Yaya and Zab scored. My rival actually did better due to the games being called off as Chambers (9) subbed in. Oh well, onwards and upwards. Consider myself very lucky this week in the end.

Hoping to crack the top 5k after the update.
Gunning for top 40k myself but expect to fall short for now.

It'll be treble mine, looks like 30 for the week for me. Getting Rvp in during jan wildcard has messed me up no end, was close to top 20k at one point, will be out to 60k after updates tonight at least!!

This game can be so frustrating!!
    91.

    That's double my score. Jesus.

I praised the current BP system for being the best since I started playing 4 years ago but, despite knowing why and how it works and accepting it as statistically fair, Suarez being on 0 tonight has to feel weird (I mean only Riether who got a YC is worse than him with -1 :pac:).

    42 from 7 pre-bonus.

3 for Adebayor and 1 from Mertesacker (possibly) so I'll finish on around 46.

Sturridge (C) really paid off. Should be around 77 points. Badly needed good week.

I'll be looking at 47 from 11 players looks like.

Roller coaster of a GW, looked dire yesterday, looked up when the games cancelled, then crashed again with Sturridge and Ade scoring big and RVP and Mata blanking.

Think its time to take a total time out till after the cup matches.

Kind of agree with you with regard to Suarez, but overall I do think that the new BP system addresses the imbalance that was there with defenders vs midfielders/forwards and I think BP's are (mostly) fairer this season.

What happens if neither my captain or vice captain played this week?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 474 ✭✭The Megaphone

62 (-4) from 10 with hopefully some bonus pts from Merts & Sturridge so happy out...

Nope my bad. Hazard was my vice captain. Should have 65 for the gameweek. Not bad considering i forgot it was DGW

Good for you then ;). 65 is a rocking score for this GW :D !

But it wasn't a DGW. It's actually kind of the opposite with 2 games called off. DGWs will happen though now!

I have a bench of 21 coming on for me, because Yaya didn't play and neither did Coleman.
My bench: Eriksen 0 (didn't play) Collins 15 Kos 6.

To bring me from 40 to 61. Talk about lucky...

    Deise. Dude. Are you drunk.

Will probably end up with 57/58 after BPs. Not too bad after only having 8 players playing

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,476 ✭✭✭Invincible

59 pts up, not sure if bps are added, hopefully will stay up around the 3700 mark.

Will end up on 67 from 10 players just had canas off the bench for 2 pts. Said it a couple of weeks back when people were talking about getting rid of ade that it was a strange move. A cheap central striker guaranteed game time playing for one of the better teams in the league. Holding sturridge last week when I was really tempted to ditch him for rvp(c) has worked out really well. Kos in the wildcard has been great a good bit cheaper than mert and outscoring him in bps the last few weeks.

77 points from 10. Delighted with that. Made serious ground in my private league tonight

I think it was yourself I had a debate with over the value merit of Koscielny over Mertesacker long-term. Glad to see you've seen the error of your ways (only joking) and it's paying off

    BPS added.
