Perhaps you can give us an example of "two thirds of the emergency services during a major event" not being able to reach an emergency??

    I'm not a bank official.

You really don't read the thread, do you? Seems like you just dip in every so often to try and stir a bit. I posted your answer a page or so back already.

That's a great attitude, feck the residents who have to put up with it 30 or so times a year, it's the one time visitors that count.
Go out to Dollymount for the evening.

I think maybe the residents motives are being misrepresented here. The main concern is surely to prevent escalation for future years, if this one slides then next year it's 12 concerts and 18 the next. I really don't think compo is the aim, just nipping in the bud before it gets out of hand. 5 consecutive nights is a bit much. I'm sure when the houses were built in such close proximity to Croker, no one estimated the eventual outcome many decades later. Balance needs to be struck.
nothing to be nipped in the bud as theirs nothing to get out of hand, a huge venue being idle for a lot of the year is a scandle when it could and should be used to its full potential, we don't live in the early 1900s when Croke park was built now, we live in the 21st century so time to get with the times and allow these large venues to be used to their full potential

I'm very highly educated. I know words, i have the best words, nobody has better words then me.

Complete over exaggeration. Really grasping at straws now

Completely and utterly true, whether you want to accept it or not. You don't live here, I do. I wouldn't be too surprised at your attitude and snide remarks throughout this thread if it was just that you were from North Cork and have no connection to the area or experience of crowds in a large city, but I am utterly surprised at your attitude given that it's coming from a long time member of An Garda Siochana who has served in Dublin. I particularly disliked your uncaring attitude when elderly residents were mentioned, you suggested they turn down their hearing aids. I can only presume you don't work in a community relations role.

I've read the entire thread, haven't once seen an example of when an ambulance, fire brigade, garda or coastguard couldn't reach an emergency during a game or concert in Croke Park. I have seen whatabouttery and a lot of "well it could happen", but not one piece of evidence.

And some brooks fans have obviously never had a young child that needs sleep but will lose on average 4 hours sleep a night for 5 nights in a row. Oh that's right sure it's just a kid it will get over it as long as the wannabe cowboys/girls get to see brooks.

Luckily so far , as has already been said, there has been no incident, or at least that I am aware of. However, and this is fact as accepted by DCC/ AGS/ Croke Park, there is the potential. Again, whether some **** stirrer from rush chooses to accept it or not is of no interest to me. My sole interest here is the safety of my family, not your so-called right to attend an event.

    Ha ha ha

You dont want to stress the animals out.

No really, I mean that. Animals dont have a clue whats going on and they can get stressed very easily. Its not fair on them.

People on the other hand, they can deal with stress alot better.

A simple, No, i can't provide an example to back up my hyperbolic statement would have been fine.

Would love to see you explain that to a 2 year old, yet more evidence that brooks fans care more about themselves than kids. Oh and the concerts when held in the PP are quite a distance away from the zoo ;)

Bumper, you do realise that she is suggesting that you go to the zoo and consult with animals?
At first HLW's post were just aggressive and somewhat juvenile but now its just.........bizarre!

Again, if you read the thread properly I said that ages ago mr Weldon. What's your point? Are you trying to say that because it hasn't happened so far, it can't in the future? You are guaranteeing residents that they will not need to call for an ambulance or fire brigade whilst a major event is taking place in croke park? If so, you are proving to be the imbecile I've so far only thought you were.

    Yup.

The more idiotic posts they throw out there the better. As stated already this thread is a gold mine for someone thinking of making an effort to get these concerts stopped. Just show some of the replies from the brooks fans to show the how little people care about others.

Even in the Dublin People article, the local representatives state that the concerts will go ahead. I can't see a message-board of anonymous people holding much sway. Whats to stop residents coming on claiming to be fans from down the country and saying they'll do this, or ruin that when they come up for the concert??

Despite your pathetic "baby animals in the zoo" nonsense, this is your most ridiculous post so far. As said to another incapable troll earlier, please forgive me if I completely disregard anything further you have to say on this matter.

Don't forget to show them posts from your side of the stick with such responses coming in like:
    'Fat over bloated redneck king'.

Do you think that the DCC or anyone else would give a damn about that statement of fact?
On the other hand, they may take very seriously the threat to break peoples windows with objects
