    nothing to be nipped in the bud as theirs nothing to get out of hand, a huge venue being idle for a lot of the year is a scandle when it could and should be used to its full potential, we don't live in the early 1900s when Croke park was built now, we live in the 21st century so time to get with the times and allow these large venues to be used to their full potential

    Completely and utterly true, whether you want to accept it or not. You don't live here, I do. I wouldn't be too surprised at your attitude and snide remarks throughout this thread if it was just that you were from North Cork and have no connection to the area or experience of crowds in a large city, but I am utterly surprised at your attitude given that it's coming from a long time member of An Garda Siochana who has served in Dublin.     I've read the entire thread, haven't once seen an example of when an ambulance, fire brigade, garda or coastguard couldn't reach an emergency during a game or concert in Croke Park. I have seen whatabouttery and a lot of "well it could happen", but not one piece of evidence.

    What about the poor baby animals in the zoo?? They'll never get to sleep!!! And the other animals will be virtual prisoners in their cages with all this going on :rolleyes:

    And some brooks fans have obviously never had a young child that needs sleep but will lose on average 4 hours sleep a night for 5 nights in a row. Oh that's right sure it's just a kid it will get over it as long as the wannabe cowboys/girls get to see brooks.

    Luckily so far , as has already been said, there has been no incident, or at least that I am aware of. However, and this is fact as accepted by DCC/ AGS/ Croke Park, there is the potential. Again, whether some **** stirrer from rush chooses to accept it or not is of no interest to me. My sole interest here is the safety of my family, not your so-called right to attend an event.

    You dont want to stress the animals out.

    No really, I mean that. Animals dont have a clue whats going on and they can get stressed very easily. Its not fair on them.

    People on the other hand, they can deal with stress alot better.

    Again, if you read the thread properly I said that ages ago mr Weldon. What's your point? Are you trying to say that because it hasn't happened so far, it can't in the future? You are guaranteeing residents that they will not need to call for an ambulance or fire brigade whilst a major event is taking place in croke park?     Even in the Dublin People article, the local representatives state that the concerts will go ahead. I can't see a message-board of anonymous people holding much sway. Whats to stop residents coming on claiming to be fans from down the country and saying they'll do this, or ruin that when they come up for the concert??
