(Any Tom Waits fans out there care to reccommend me an album of his to start with? I've only ever listened to the odd song.)

Waits can be a tough artist to get into, but nearly all his stuff is brilliant imho.
His stuff can kinda be broken into two eras; his early 70's bluesy stuff and his 'weirder' roots material from the 80's onwards.

Bone Machine was my introduction to Tom Waits, and I didn't think much of it at first, but after I gave it a chance it became one of my favourite albums by him.

They played E.P. in September in fairness :P

I use to always have that problem though, so annoying, fortunately I've managed to convince a few to go to both Arcade Fire and AM

So I was having a gander at the Irish music charts with a view to a future project, and came across an artist mentioned in the album charts that I'd never heard of, so I went to YouTube, and discovered this song which I really, really like:




It turns out it's the girl from Glee, I recognised the voice instantly from the little snippets of Glee I've seen, but didn't know the name. Rest of her album seems to be a bit meh (well, what I've heard of it so far), but this really is a cracking song.

So I haven't posted in here in ages so I'm going to post whatever comes into my head. Here goes!
