I have been looking for a decent one as well but I just end up playing the free version of Dune 2 which is still great after all these years considering it was the first RTS game
Try ProjectY, I have it downloaded but haven't tried it yet but it looks good

Frozen Synapse is good. only works on tablets afaik.

It's on my s4 from an old humble bundle, so technically it works, but it would definitely benefit from bigger screen.
