Ah, sure it's nearly TOTP time!

    Admirable hair, for definite.

I've told the OH many times...the day I get fired from my office job is the day we start our journey to Mulletsville. That'll take some topping, mind you.

That's the scary bit  Where does the time go?

On the upside, at least I know all the stuff they're playing now!

That's the beauty of this thread/bbc4. Time flies and before you know it you love some band you'd never paid attention to before.

    Ahem...usually...ahem...

Or alternatively, that's the curse of this thread/BBC4. Time flies and before you know it it's about five in the morning and you've to get up at the crack of dawn and where has the bloody night gone

Note to self - AVOID THIS THREAD when I have to work the next morning!

I can't ever look at Rod Steward after Kenny Everett's skit of him blowing up with the leggins into the air....

Best concert I ever went to in the RDS on the "Baby Jane" tour....

Jaysus, hope this is good now!

What's the feeling towards 'ol Rod here?

Do we like him? Is it fair to say he was good in the seventies but went a bit...downtown train in the eighties?

I have had chiquitita going around in my head all week.

It's almost like a trad song, you could imagine Mary Black singing it.

Ah jaysus, bad timing going to the loo during the best Abba song of all!

Having said that, Elvis and those specs makes up for it :D

When i was a kid, a friend of mine's mother loved Rod (Stewart...steady!)

She had hair quite like his, it was strange.

F**kin love this EC tune. It's a 10/10 from me.

    Harmonies are just magic.

    Elvis C is a legend!

    Still a great performer.

EC looks a bit better miming away on TOTP than he did in the O2 last year, drownded in sweat

    Class performer though!

I think he's a bit underrated. I heard one of his RDS concerts (from outside!) and I wished I was there.

Great charisma, good singer with some good songs. (Although I agree he peaked in the 70s)

The lyrics to Milk And Alcohol were written by Nick Lowe – who also produced Oliver’s Army

    He'd blind you.
