2001 subaru impreza boot light not working

    My boot light in 2001 subaru impreza will not work. I have cleaned the switch and the fuse is working. All wiring looks to be good. anyone any ideas?

    Maybe the relay/sensor that switches it on/off when the boot opens/closes?

    possibly the fuse controlling it?

    Would there be a seperate fuse for it? I cleaned the switch/relay with no luck. Just noticed the open door symbol/light on dash beside speedo does not come on when boot opens either.
