Best u-value possible in a front door?

What is the best u-value that can be expected from a front (entrance) door? I believe the bog-standard front door has a u-value of around 3.0, but presumably a quality door can do much better than that. Is < 1.0 possible?

Yes search for passive certified door - they will be below .8wm2/k
