I don't really know if this is a great bargain or not, but they are on sale at €15 reduced from €30.

A good price I think for genuine Apple headphones, I'm sure there are a lot of fakes on Amazon/Ebay.

Free delivery or collect in store.

The also have the Apple stereo earphones with a built in mic for €10, not the same style as the ones in your post OP, but a damn good deal for both none the less.

Theres a few other bits and pieces like wall chargers and cables with decent discounts. Still may be a little dear, but not bad if you prefer to go for genuine Apple....

Are they good sound quality or is there better out there for under €20?

apple headphones are about the crapiest you can buy

    most people replace them

The second ones linked that are the circular ear pieces are actually pants. At €15, the ones OP linked are nothing to shy away from, I used a pair for a long time as a filler till I ordered my serious IEMs.

I'd agree with you but these new ones are a serious improvement on the old style.
Very little difference compared to my sennheiser's. 15e is a good price for them in my opinion!

Apple 1st gen earphones are shocking. They are the ones you hear loud as day when standing 10 feet away from someone.

The new EarPods are actually quite good especially for €15.

    Lesser build quality.

Love the Apple ones when I'm out and about as you can still hear your surroundings somewhat, IEMs are a killer for this.

    Cannot be reserved for collection..

.. so went into my local CPW today.

Picked up a pair of Earpods and said to the guy they're half price - €15 - on the website? Scanned them and said they're €30.

    Eurrgh..!

Have to say, I've used many in-ear headphones in my day, but the EarPods have been the best for actually staying in my ears without falling out. Not sure how they rate for the audiophiles, but for the average joe like myself the sound is grand.

Good price, I paid €25 for a pair just before Christmas. It just so happens my sister lost her earphones today so I've pointed her in this direction.

If you'd actually used the EarPods you'd know they were pretty good. Definitely better audio quality earphones iare available at 30 euro, but you won't get anything as good with the apple inline remote at a better than 15.

I have these. Used them a few times and thought they were crap and uncomfortable!

Went into CPW just there, same thing as before- scanning at 30. Shop assistant said the sale is only online

True that, unless they've recently changed components the earpods are a decent buy, especially at €15

rubbish earphones, what's worse is they don't hold sound in at all. Not good for your fellow commuters.

..but seriously you are missing out on music if you are using these.

Not everyone's a bus wanker handy for answering the phone in the car quality is quite good and I see a huge amount of people using them for that very reason

Not sure I'd be happy to put something called Xtreme Xplosives In Ear Canal into my ears, to be honest! :)

I find MEElectronics headphones very good for the price, though you have to buy direct from them.

Yep not too appealing but they do the job :D
I've used the EarPods and they really aren't that good compared to even mono which are a lot cheaper. Not the most attractive but brilliant for their price.

If I was looking for a new paid of earphones around €15 I wouldn't buy them as there is much more out there for your money.

Mine arrived yesterday and they seem to have been used already.

Anyone else confirm? I haven't opened the case yet but because its transparent I can see that little indications of use/dirt...

Unopened box image - very hard to get an extreme close up of something so small with a reflective casing.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 303 ✭✭Metroid diorteM

Bit of white dirt visible inside earpiece

I just got two pairs in the post - thanks OP.
However, one set isn't boxed properly and the cable is very much pinched - I'm thinking of returning it :(
