Hi All, When I was giving the car a wash this morning, I noticed some white powder beside the negative terminal of the battery... Just reading on google, I found it is lead sulfate and it seems quite common on car batteries.. but just wondering if it okay or should I get it checked out (or maybe how it can be avoided) ?…

Clean it off and then rub some vaseline around the terminals.

I don't see it much these days but I used to use hot water from a kettle to wash most of it away and an old toothbrush to loosen the rest and then rinse it all off.
Then I use Vaseline or better still dielectric grease as a preventative.

terminal probably slightly loose...it is corrosive so get rid of it before it eats your car
