If you give it a chance and watch the playoffs it's quality. Take it for what it is - an excuse to get locked

The most expensive two minutes on the planet for advertisers, some people even rate the adverts over the match.

    'Tis a crazy world...

Well the rugby players tend to overprotect themselves, right enough.

Rugby players are not wearing armour and they still get in there for the ball.

The influence of the world's superpower and a tiny country on the propriety of Europe is hardly equal.

Yeah once I actually sat down and got to know the game properly I started enjoying it. Like you said, you have to give it a chance. I don't like when people completely dismiss sports they don't understand. Cricket is another example.

yeah but they are generally not standing catching a ball while a couple of defenders are coming at full pelt to break you up.

    Have you played both?i have
In rugby if a defender runs full pelt at me I'll just skip past him,yes they have protective gear but in terms of hits I can tell you hits in AF are waaay worse.

Think about it, most of the hits in rugby are low to medium speed and there's a lot of close combat etc but it's a lot safer(once you know what you're doing)

    Hate it

''Football''? Egg Hand played by a bunch of overpaid gob****es sure even the Fatties get a game. To call it a sport (So many stops wtf is that about) is ridiculous

It's like the Yanks needed a game to show the world how ''Tough'' they are....bunch a clowns running around in more Armour than a Swat team trying to cripple one another.

the eijets that pack the Woolshed to watch it are bigger fools

America has the World Series in Baseball,no team from outside America takes part.

Was just going to post basically the same thing. But I would add that the majority of AF players are physical specimens (all muscle, pure athletic) who don't think twice about diving head first into tackles. There would be lads killed otherwise if there wasn't all the protective gear.

While I appreciate the degree of physical contact in rugby isn't something I would like to experience, AF is far more hard-hitting

Rugby players play the ball, American footballers play the man. I'd rather watch a game where they play the ball.

this shows how much you know.......nada.
The AF players would leave premiership footballers and rugby players for dead in terms of their fitness.
yes there's the big guys aswell but they do serve a purpose and in fact the bigger guys are so strong and fast it's hard to believe at times.

Even if it means rucking down a fellahs back or the occasional stamp?

Despite it's "roughness", any indiscretion in AF is closely monitered and dealt with immediately
