I preferred N+ over Super Meat Boy to be honest!

And preferred VVVVVV over both of those!

N+ and super meat boy are both great fun plus hard. I think N+ is more fun on multiplayer.

I love the classics but Rayman Legends is brilliant.

It is the best 2d platformed I've played in years. Only pure nostalgia would stop me from declaring it the GOAT.

Its a lovely game alright, the Ubiart game engine is remarkable.
Looking forward to seeing what else they can make with it.

I feel somehow grubby just reading the past few posts.
Another vote for great platformer is.. Lemmings!
I know it's a puzzler but it adds great platform elements too, kinda....

    Yup
Which reminds me loads of great platform titles
From Monty on the Run to Dynamite Dan 2, Impossible Mission to Bruce Lee, great 8 bit platformers.

    Chuckie Egg and Lode Runner.
As yet unbeaten in the 2D Platformer arena.

Sentinel for the 3D Platformer win (Though it was a teleporting, not a jumping game.

The 3d platforming crown is worn by Super Mario 64, that's for all time too.
