Japanese and French built ones are slightly different AFAIK.
00 would be Japanese and 05 (assuming were talking the last of the old model) would be french

They are interchangeable it seems. Micksgarage has the same aftermarket part number for both types.

don't go down the second hand route with a clutch, it's a false economy.

+1. Biggest cost in doing a clutch is the labour. you don't want to be doing it again weeks or months later.

Pretty sure the engine is different in the 2005, it's a 3 cylinder, and the 2000 is a 4.

Yeah, the new model came out in very late 05.

I have crash 00 and 05 is 4 cylinder.

As above, it's not worth going down the secondhand route with clutches. You'll will have to go to all the effort of taking the clutch(that could well be worn) out of the 00 and putting it into the 05. If your getting someone to do this for you, the labour will most probably cost more than a new clutch kit.

As clutches are wearable parts, I'd strongly advise you to buy a new clutch kit and get the job done properly.
