help please with sky remote code for Sony Bravias?

I would be grateful if someone could help with a code to operate the Sony Bravia from the Sky remote.I recently got a new HD box and the only old code I have is 0000.This no longer seems to work with Sony,although the Sky remotes always seemed to have no need for a code for Sony teles,the default in effect.
The long winded route doesnt work either.

The codes seem to be dependent on the version of RC you have.

Top Man,that's a great site,if it works,pity the Sky man was in such a rush,but maybe its not his job.He was there installing the new on demand box all of 7mins.
Will let you know if it works ,the TV is in the land of no broadband and no 3g.
It looks like version 9 is the latest RC 2011.

Should work fine for you.

I got a new LG telly a couple of weeks ago myself and had to go through the same procedure. The search threw up 3 codes and the second one worked for me. So if you are given a couple or a few different codes just stick with it and one of them will definitely work.

Thank you will get back with results,the last sky manual I could find ,only had one code for Sony,I think that goes back to the days when you got a deal off a Bravia when signing up to sky,and the RC worked automatically with that brand.

Revision nine codes are different to that of older revisions...easiest way of getting a code is to press interactive and load sky active....simply click the setup my remote option and pick the revision of your remote and that u dont know the code...

Worked first time,thanks to all who took the time to reply.
I must try the method suggested by Steveon, looks interesting, coming to an I phone near you soon I guess.
