I Need To Lose Weight

I just realised I need to lose weight. I sat on the kitchen chair and broke it. Ok I knew my trousers were getting tighter but hey...they might have shrunk in the tumble drier.

What made any of you former tubbies out there (no offence meant) finally decide to shift the weight?

Being asked "When are you due?" pretty much did it for me.

Although the look on their face when I informed them that I wasn't pregnant was priceless! :D

Serious answer? Cut out bread, try not to snack during the day, and do some walking every day. Doesn't have to be far, but getting in a little walk every day will help.

Yes. Cut out bread. Bread makes you fat. Look, how badly do you want to lose weight?

Push the plate away and get some exercise. Also fix the chair.

    I was thinking the same.
    Breakfast 2 slices of toast
Lunch 3 sandwiches (6 slices of bread)
Bedtime snack Cheese on toast (2 slices)

    Sometimes 11 o'clock and 4 o'clock tea I might have bread too:(

    u wat mate.
could lose weight just fine eating bread.

i think the disregard of the food pyramid has caused people to go to the extreme of flipping it upside down.

I think you need to clarify. White bread is the killer.

I only eat brown/wholemeal bread which is much heathier as well as being nicer and tastier.

Also, don't buy prepacked preservative packed Brennan's/Pat The Baker crap. Fresh baked bread from the likes of Superquinn for me or a bakery.

As for weight loss. I lost 20 kilos/ 3 stone in a year.

Did it through eating healthier, portion control (very important) and running.

Look and feel a lot better and have not had any yo-yo effects. Weight staying off and I'm happy with new lifestyle. So I didn't do a diet but changed my diet if you know what I mean.

Also, don't be afraid to have a weekly treat of a bar of chocolate or piece of cake. As long it's a treat it's no problem. Every day is not a treat.
