DIY Oil Change Semi Synth at 6k or Synth at 9/12 k?

    Any opinions please? 1.3 Multijet diesel . Almost exclusively non town driving .Nearly 6k MILES up since late October . 135k on 2005 car . Don't mind a spot of DIY servicing but under 3 month oil changes is a bit much for my liking . What oil ( quality) and interval (miles / months?) would you recommend ?Its an early non Dpf version so not a finnicky little bus ( gets well over 70mpg)

    Proper spec at 5k diy = happy turbo

    these are known for stretching timing chains,i would be careful about what oil you use and when.

    I'd recommend a good quality 5w30 c3 oil like that for them.

    Every 9k miles should be fine but no harm whatsoever in doing it sooner.
