South Kilkenny in the sticks on 3G. It's quite impressive to be honest.

Yeah, just using a WiFi modem. Have it placed on a nice spot on the window. Nailed to the ledge!

Same as you bijou in that the meteor site shows no 4G coverage for my area although mast listed as LTE. Will have to see if I can get a hold of a Meteor 4G device to test it out

I think, as before, they've just bulk updated ALL of the Vodafone and Meteor masts as having LTE.

O2/3's masts all just say UMTS at best.

Meteor support on Twitter just tell me to keep watching

But three never bother giving comreg the information about their masts. I can remember for years that many of three's masts weren't on siteviewer then all of a sudden a massive new load appeared overnight. Might have been comreg not doing the updates but I doubt that.

Hi are you on 4G? I didn't think 3G could hit those speeds?

What part of south Kilkenny are you in if you don't mind me asking. I'm in Kilmacow but never touch those speeds

Sorry I see now you are with o2 so must be 3G!

Meteor in Galway must have expanded their capacity greatly. 2 weeks ago I have only had 0.5Mbit DL and this morning it was almost 20Mbit DL on 3G. Never seen anything close to that before.

I am thinking its related to their 4G offer and speeds probably go down again but that's some impressive result.

Sexy speeds! I did however clock a speed of 0.7mb download on lte/4g earlier though

And thanks for the IP address in the second one, it helps confirm my list of 3 addresses that are NATed and those that aren't.

And thanks for the IP address in the second one, it helps confirm my list of 3 addresses that are NATed and those that aren't.

    No problem :)

    What is your list like?

The 178.XXX.XXX.XXX series of ip addresses are less decent private ip addresses that part of a collection that share an external ip address as far as I remember thus usually giving moderate nat settings if you require nat for gaming - its hard to get ip addresses in the 92.XXX.XXX.XXX but they are proper public set of ip addresses which usually give good open nat for gaming. They seem to have a second set of public ip addresses: 31.XXX.XXX.XXX which they acquired over the last two years

Both sets from my experience have NAT capabilities but obviously a public ip rather than sharing an ip address is the best way to go (but more costly to an ISP as far as I remember - correct me if I am wrong)

3internet APN gives you the chance of getting one or the other while 3ireland only gives you access to private ip addresses

(do correct me if I am wrong - its being a while since I did some digging into three and its NAT/IP setup

    My current list is this
Servers 83.136.47.0 - 83.136.47.127 includes DNS and SMTP servers
    Servers 92.251.255.0 - 92.251.255.127 includes NAT servers (.13 and .14 probably others - APN 3ireland.ie )
    APN 3internet
    31.200.128.0 - 31.200.191.255 ~16000
    92.251.128.0 - 92.251.159.255 ~ 7900
    92.251.160.0 - 92.251.191.255
    92.251.192.0 - 92.251.207.255 ~ 3800
    92.251.224.0 - 92.251.239.255 ~ 3900
    83.136.40.0 - 83.136.41.255 ~ 500 <? roaming only whatever that means?
    178.167.128.0 - 178.167.159.255 ~ 7900
    178.167.160.0 - 178.167.191.255 ~ 7900
    178.167.192.0- 178.167.223.255 ~ 7900
    178.167.224.0 - 178.167.239.255
    178.167.248.0 - 178.167.251.255
    178.167.254.0 - 178.167.254.255 ~ 250 < reported in use with NAT (shared IP)
    178.167.255.0 - 178.167.255.127 ~ 125 < reported in use with NAT (shared IP)

Most ranges I've had at some time and a few I've looked up from what others have reported. Not had any of the ones that use when I've been using the 3internet APN. I use a little script that records my IP address in a txt file so I can check back. At one time I was looking to see if any of the IP addresses were better than others.

The max i got on 4G with my 3 phone was around 18 Mb/s down and 17 Mb/s up with Meteor i barely had 2 bars of 4G in the area i was in and got around 15Mb/s down and 5 up .. in the same area on 3G with Meteor i got 20Mb/s .. i've yet to see 4G get the speeds that i have seen on here.

I'll be in Dublin airport next saturday omw to Spain so we will see how it goes around that area i guess.
