Well I called one company that does crack repair rather than just replacing the screen. They told me that they work with Liberty and it was no problem. They then called me back to say that they couldn't repair it because the type of damage it was, they then said that a new screen was €490 and could only be bought from Toyota because it's an import. They then said they couldn't do it because I'm with Liberty

I then called liberty and they put me through to AutoGlass. They then called me back to say that at the time I bought my policy Liberty were working with Mr Windscreen so I had to call them. I'm now waiting for them to call back to make an appointment.

I also curbed one of my alloys today :(. Really isn't my day :(:(

Whatever about the first set of clowns - I really can't understand Autoglasses reaction.

Who Liberty were dealing with at the time of policy - shouldn't be what matters - its who they deal with now surely.

Someones been silly here either liberty or Autoglass - I really don't know why Autoglass would turn down work.

    Makes no sense whatsoever

So much for Libertys advertising claims :mad::mad::(

    Hope you get sorted quickly

Basically I should have been put through to Mr windscreen when I called Liberty
not auto glass. Autoglass have a 2014 contract with Liberty from what I can gather so all policies sold this year will be with them. Last year it was Mr Windsreen (when I bought my policy). In fairness the one I was ealing with in Autoglass was very helpful and even gave me Mr windscreens phone number :)

Mr Windscreen is still to call back to confirm an appointment time

You may as well buy the tiger seal now lad.
I have had 2 bad jobs outta 2. One just poor, the other I think I can still hear the fitters laughing.

(not with mr windscreen. Heres hoping the ability to eat copious amounts of bananas and throw faeces while not falling off a branch are not the recruitment requirements for that particular windscreen company)

Some **** tried to steal my Mazda. :(
The battery's flat in it and even if it wasn't, it's got an Alarm and immobiliser so they wouldn't have gotten it going but they've made a mess of my drivers door handle and look.
New set of locks and keys on the list.

    **** buzz.
They probably noticed (all joking aside) that it hadnt been moved in a while.

If they feck it up I shall be inserting my size 12 welly up the fitters ass where it will remain until the job is done properly ;)

That is terrible news Cian :( At least the fvckers didn't get it! Might be worth while getting some very clear visible deterrents like a clamp or something.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,730 ✭✭✭✭CianRyan

Good shout on the clamp, I know who has one!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,792 ✭✭✭coolisin

    Lads if anyone's interested:

    www.irishmotoring.com

It's only new and a bit bare at the moment but support would be great.

    Sorry if against the rules.

Could make an interesting alternative :)
