Proper chips come from the garden, not the chipper.

Very hard to beat chips from Cork, especially chips from KCs in Douglas.

That's too much reading for a poll. Can it not just be a yes/no option?

Does anyone know for sure what French fries are made of?

I was once told that although they do contain some potato, they are not 100% made from potatoes.

    Can this be true?

    Poll fail

There's no such thing as French Fries, the yanks mistakenly give them that name. They are Belgian, and the only chips worth talking about (Dutch ones are very similar)

    Frites / Friet FTW :D

Worst chips from a chipper I've ever eaten. After hearing about how good KCs chips were, when I actually had them they were a huge disappointment. Ended up throwing most of them in the bin.

I like both. Fries are delicious as a side order with a burger or grilled sandwich and dipped in mayonnaise. Chipper chips are nice on their own with lots of vinegar and curry sauce. Or maybe a chip sandwich with butter mmmm

There's a time and a place for both types imho.

in my home we make skinny chips cut laboriously by hand from washed and peeled potatoes and fried in a big wok type pan. but chipper style big chunky chips and skinny fries are a completely different animal, both have their merits.
