Hi everyone, sorry for another stove related topic.
I am looking for someone to do an estimate on installing an inset stove. I probably need someone to come out and check fireplace chimney etc. to see if it is possible/practicable to install. I would be grateful if anyone could pm contact details of a reliable installer as cant seem to find much on google. Thanks in advance.

I was given a quote of €750 for installation of stove and all accessories. The lining of the chimney is placed in the chimney after the flexi pipe is run through from fireplace to chimney top. There is 2 bags of liner material in this cost and anymore is extra. I was told probably another 6 bags @ €25 each considering my house height.

I have decided on a 5kw stove at approximately €500.

So my total will be about €1500.

    Hi Corner back 2
I got a price of €1800 all supplied and fitted. Stove/flexible flue pipe and all accessories/vermiculite etc. Go to who ever you are buying stove off, they will have a list of fitters. Who ever is fitting ask them for a name of a few people they fitted stoves for and check it out. It's not everyone can fit a stove properly. There are regulations to be adhered too as to fire safety and combustable materials around fireplace. Do not rush into it, check out everything before you start and be sure you are happy. A lot of stove outlets to chimney are 5" I would recommend using a 5" to 6" adaptor and so having a 6" outlet. This is now a regulation in England/Wales. If incorrectly fitted you will major problems from the word go. Do it once and do it right, don't let cost be a final factor.
