Crack at a wedding? Is that an Austrian tradition?

Grown adults complaining about not getting medals/medals being crap after 'completing' various road races (not even marathons). FFS grow up. If you want a medal you can buy yourself one in any sports shop for about 50c

Finding out that 6 years ago you put a screw through a hot water pipe whilst putting up shelves. Only finding out now when taking them down and water starts flowing onto the electric piano below.

The fact this was a quick 10 minute job before today's LSR the icing on the cake.

Super Sunday on sky that is far from super...a top 4 team vs. a mid table one...mediocre at best.

    This.
Essentially, RTE.ie giving reports on Women's Cricket. Now, I know the fellas Cricket has been getting more successful over the past few years but even Sky Sports News pay no heed to the ladies cricket (I assume as it must be of quite a low standard).
So, my rant is not especially about the Ladies Cricket per sé, as much as the ranking it is given above almost any reports on Athletics on RTE.ie (and I'm not a die-hard follower of Athletics like some on here but it certainly would be nice to see it get a bit more focus than the tiniest of minority sports in Ireland (There can hardly be more than a hundred female cricketers in the whole of ROI))!!

I'd steer well clear of the cricket club in the PP for while if I was you. Cricket balls hurt!:D

There are sound physiological reasons apparently as to why women in general can't throw as hard as men however the top women are going to be better than most men so I'd be cautious! Also, power is less important when hitting the ball with the bat and that can hurt too!

Actually it doesn't matter Gavlor. Every single Irish person I've ever met throws like a girl. I've never been in a country where so few people know how to properly throw a ball… the bottom bit of your post applies though (getting coat now)

It was the same tip off that she gave me for beyonces fat ass concert in the O2

Edit: I should add that my ticketmaster now thinks I'm gay. Squeezed in between the likes of kasabian and the boss is Mickey c-nting buble and backstreet boys. You should see some of the recommended gigs it throws up :(

    That's definitely worth a rant!

    NNNNNOOOOOOOO!

That would make the Irish perfectly suited to cricket:
In the sport of cricket, throwing, commonly referred to as chucking, is an illegal bowling action which occurs when a bowler straightens their arm when delivering the ball.

Oops, this is supposed to be a rant thread:

    1) Cricket
    2) people who talk about cricket without having a clue :D

There are currently more people viewing the Athletics/Running forum than there is on the American Football and GAA forum put together. The GAA is our national sport for heavens sake!

    It's the GAA off-season. Let's be realistic.

    McGrath Cup?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,677 ✭✭✭kit3

    McGrath Cup?

I know and O'Byrne cup but you know well that it really gets going with the league and especially the championship. Just sick of GAA bashing to be honest. At local level where I am it's a great community organisation - live and let live and all that.

Rant: The GAA and the fact they and their thugs force us Protestants to stand at the back of the church during weddings/funerals etc….

may not actually be true but the GAA still sucks
