Always found the border counties a bit sourpuss, generalization of course.

I've had plenty of experiences around the border area myself, spent a lot of time in Virginia Cavan. Some have that dour demeanor alright, nordy accents don't help. the combination makes you feel uncomfortable at times.

I like Galway, don't like anywhere in the North of Ireland. I married an English man, that's probably still a tarring and feathering offence in some quarters up that way.

Dublin and Wicklow are my joint favourites. Both have beautiful scenery and lots to do. Lots of other great counties too though.

Carlow is the only county I've ever taken an active dislike to.

I love Cork because no matter where you are in the City you can walk around and you can say this is Cork, alot of places in the world you cannot say that.

Cork city is a pretty nice place, not sure about the county as i've only been in a few towns/areas.

Waterford county is gorgeous, especially the copper coast. The 'city' is a depressing place though, even more so since the recession.

Favourite: Galway for the 24/7 craic in the city and the scenery in Connemara.
Antrim second, Belfast for the craic and the amazing scenery around the coast.

Least favourite: any of the smaller boring counties in the midlands that are practically dead after 6pm, even the towns close down except one or two pubs.

Drove through Leitrim once, the natives don't cling onto the car as bad as the Cavan ones do.

The local tribe wouldn't let me take a picture of them either as they feared it would take their soul.

Cork, so much to do in the City and West Cork has some of the best views in the country.

Tipperary- filled to the brim with scummy scumbags and small minded people, ugh.

Tied between Cork & Galway, but I'd just edge towards Cork.

    Tipperary. Just grim all round.

Favourite: Galway - great little city and Connemara is stunning.
Least favourite: Longford - dull, drab and lacking character.

Hate Cork City - stupid accents and a pain in the ass to drive around,

Love Kilkenny - well coz I live here (not a native) it's a nice small town which is always buzzing with people :)

Least favourite is Longford. By a long (ford) shot (no, I will not get my coat).
Favourite is probably Galway. Lovely city but more importantly there's Connemara.

Like what a Dub once said to me "Every City outside of Dublin City is just a small parish"

That's odd, a Corkonian said the same thing to me once.

Was it Cork or Dublin he was referring to?

Tipperary not just the county but the tribalistic toolbags who can be spotted from Aughrim to Australia draped in their blue and yellow 'ShhhKoda' GAA jerseys bragging about the quality of silage and hurling they have.

Favorite would have to be Dublin especially the working class parts where people tend to help one another and have a generally superior level of openness to others.

    P.S. Im not from Kilkenny

Favourite: Mayo - I spent my formative summers running up and down hills in the shadow of the reek. The air is clean, there's a few decent surf spots and Westport is savage for a night out!

Hate: Bangor, Co. Down - it's a depressing hole and the slackjawed stares I would receive as I drove my KE reg car around was quite a thing to witness. Also it was there that my beloved car somehow developed quite a baxtard of a scratch while it was parked in the marina.

Worst County OFFALY (IMO) Lived there for 34 years, so I'm well qualified to judge.

Best County would be (IMO) CORK.
