    Hi,

I'm in the market for a Passat 2006-2007 VW Passat and wonder is it worthwhile going for the diesel engine as I only really do about 11,000 miles. Also is it worth while going for the Comfortline model as opposed to the baseline.

Also I have noticed a few cars too on Donedeal that seem to be good deals from private sellers but the adds seem to be up for up to 2 months. Is this an indication, would anyone guess, to how genuine the car is. Because I was also looking at a Skoda Octavia, for someone else, such as this one. The mileage and price seem almost too good to be true. Any comments?

I'm half think about getting a mechanic to check it out.

An Octavia is not at the same level as the Passat as it's based on the Golf. A Superb would be a better equivalent.

With your mileage I'd recommend a petrol and definitely a Comfortline (or higher) as there is a huge difference in spec levels on VW group cars (VW/Audi/Skoda/Seat)
