Oh and the original The Evil Dead trilogy.

You're going mad, there's only three.

There was talk of making another but when Greengrass and Damon decided not to pursue it the studio also wisely decided not to proceed.

Lord of the Rings would be my favourite trilogy but I think Bourne is the most consistent in terms of quality.

There were four. The Fourth, The Bourne Legacy was not part of the original trilogy and involved another agent.

Am I going mad or have there been four Bourne movies (with more on the way)?

Yup, 3 Matt Damon and 1 Jeremy Renner.

For me the quality of Godfather I and II more than make up for III. When viewed in totality for me they're miles ahead of any of the other trilogies listed here.

Also a cool 'loose' trilogy is the Cornetto Trilogy starring Simon Pegg and Nick Frost.

    Hot Fuzz
    Shawn Of The Dead
    The World's End.

    The Godfather
surely all 3 films have to be good. That's why I went for Indiana Jones.

I;d have gone for The Godfather. But, the third isn;t all that great.

The third Back to the Future is awful.

    The Vengeance Trilogy which is;
    Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance
    Oldboy
    Sympathy for Lady Vengeance.

Lord of the rings is undoubtedly the greatest movie trilogy in the history of cinema.

    The Godfather for me.

Three Colours Red, White and Blue worth a mention too.

Back to the Future and Crocodile Dundee should have been left alone.

I think you'll all find that P The Vengeance Trilogy by ark Chan-wook was the best trilogy ever. Especially Oldboy.

Really hard to pick between LoTR and Back to the future.

Missed Barrytown Triology: Commitments, The Van and The Snapper.

I would've said Die Hard or The Evil Dead but out of those I'd pick The Godfather.

The Godfather 1 and 2 were brilliant but 3 was just awful. Three colours trilogy was brilliant - havent seen it in years though.

Three Colours Trilogy. Not only a great trilogy but up there with some of the greatest films ever produced.

Godfather trilogy. Third film is sometimes unfairly criticized, to me it's a quite good film in its own right and certainly one I enjoyed, but in no way a classic like its predecessors. Not getting Robert Duvall back as Tom Hagan and the casting of the directors daughter are two justifiable criticisms.

Also agree with the person who mentioned Linklaters Before Sunrise trilogy, three perfect films.

Oh my god you're right! But you have to see it in the uncut 11-hour version with the alternate soundtrack. Preferably on 35mm as the DVD image just ruins it.

Damn...I was going to say that.Yip,excellent set of films.

Another trilogy that deserves a mention is the mariachi trilogy, though not perfect,is quite enjoyable.Mariachi and Desperado being great flicks. Can't say the same about Once Upon A time In Mexico though.

Definitely my favourite trilogy. Brilliant stories, amazing music, brilliant written dialogue and characters you can't take your eyes off.
Beats anything in the poll by a mile imho.
Has to be the Maniac Cop trillogy.
