    Hey guys,

Title says it all really. Trying to decide between the two cameras. There's no price difference really so either or. From looking at online reviews it seems the Panasonic would be a better choice but I'm open to advice or even other cameras similar in price. They both work out at around €260.

    Thanks for any advice.

There isn't going to be any relevant difference between two point-and-shoots. In this day and age I don't see why anyone would bother. If you have an interest in learning photography you would be much better off saving up a bit more for an entry-level DSLR, even an older model or second-hand one is going to give you far more control than a point-and-shoot.

And you're not interested in learning about photography then just use a phone :pac:

    Cheers for the reply.

I already have a DSLR but the reason I've been looking at these is the fact that they are more portable. I'm hoping to go travelling soon so I don't want to be lugging around a big piece of kit in my backpack.

Panasonic LX7. Best price for the BIGGEST results.

Unfortunately I'm after ordering the TZ40. Hopefully it will give good results anyway. Chances are my parents will get most use out of this camera and I may possibly buy a different one for when I am travelling. I might consider the LX7 but I'm definitely going to purchase the GoPro Hero 3 for taking videos while backpacking, snorkeling, bungee etc.
