when youre eating out in restraunts or elsewhere do u clean up your leftovers or leave the staff do it.

Id always put my leftovers in a bin or in a stingy way if i had a lot leftover id ask to get my leftovers to be wrapped up lol. I remember got captain americas once and only eat half of it because it was so damn big but had to go to a concert so had to leave it behind for the staff to pick it up so sick that i had to leave so much food behind lol

I go a step further and throw the plates in the sink and start washing up

if Ive left a decent amount I'll ask for a doggy bag, why not, you've paid for it whether you take it home or it goes in the bin

Depends.... if i'm in a fast food restaurant I'll clear my place, but I'm hardly gonna get up in a proper restaurant and bring my dishes to the kitchen and empty them into the bin?? I'd get a fright if I seen someones big mad head marching into the kitchen to clear their plate.

I go a step even further.....slap them on the tight waiters butt and say "you need someone to tuck you in on this cold winters night ;) ".........they always wear tight black pants......

I swipe everything off the table onto the floor and kick it as I walk out.

Pfft I hijack the fancy trolleys they use to carry the food on for my own nefarious purposes.

Stuff the tablecloth down yer kaks nice and tight and then proceed to walk off, taking the contents of the table with you as you leave the establishment.

Believe me, the staff will thank you for it.

why is it called a doggy bag?

Because people usually pretend they're bringing it home for their dog, rather than for themselves.

Because most waiters like it from behind.

If in a coffee shop or a burger place, I'll always put my leftovers in the bin and wipe the table.

In a real restaurant I obviously wouldn't but I'd still wipe up any mess and stack the plates and anything else to make it a bit easier for the waiter or waitress.

Just force of habit and respect from doing those jobs years ago.

Im amazed at the amount of people who dont clear their stuff away in KFC Mc Donalds etc....... Used to work 15 years ago in Mc Donalds when i was in college and the amount of people who left their stuff on the table was shocking..... Mc Donalds doesn't employ staff usually to clear tables they have one lobby host who does party's, refills coffee, warms baby's bottles and checks toilets but they usually end up having to clear up after people. Once when the place was busy i helped out clearing the tables some people do really nasty things. One family i seen put napkins all over the table and then put thier food on it and put ketchup on the napkins making them stick to the tables..... really nasty... then they walked out and expected someone to clean up after them

If in a fast food place, I clean up after myself as I am not paying a lot of money therefore it doesn't cover for waitstaff to do it. In a proper restaurant, depending on the amount of leftovers, I either ask for a doggy bag or scrape the remaining food onto one plate and stack them to make it easier on the waitstaff. It's only polite... unless the waiter I happen to have is rude or nasty etc.

I thought this was the norm though

    No Problemo.

She is one of my expensive exes.

However, I'm sure she'd let herds of Wildebeste roam through her bedroom, sooner than letting you 'lie in across her'.

The job offer still stands though.........

Alot of restaurants won't give doggy bags now for health and safety reasons  I bring tinfoil with me to sneakily bring leftovers home myself.

Do you carry a roll of it in your handbag?

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

I can kind of see why though with some of the more litigious members of society, who may take leftovers home and store the leftovers incorrectly and/or reheat them incorrectly then contract food poisoning / a dodgy tummy and then complain about the poor quality food being served by the restaurant(despite the fact that noone else contracted this condition) and either try to sue / threaten to sue / attempt to destroy the restaurant's reputation on various review sites.

That's exactly the reason. But if you sneak it home yourself, basically the blame is on you if you make yourself sick, since you took it without permission they're not liable

Basically you're paying a fiver for your own meal and you expect service from a a restaurant. What a cheapskate.
