I missed out on my first choice of Commerce in UCD while doing the Leaving cert 3 years ago. I am currently doing Law and Business in Maynooth.
If I do a masters in UCD after my bachelors degree will I be in with the chance of getting the good jobs that the people who did Commerce will get?

    Short answer: no.

Doing a masters to purely to improve your job prospects (rather than improving your knowledge of a particular topic/skill) is a really bad idea.

Doing a masters just to obtain a qualification from a particular institution is a terrible idea. Complete was of time and money.

Besides, UCD and Maynooth are both constituents of NUI?

A Masters is somewhat specialised and may improve your job prospects for this reason, but you need to be interested in that specialisation.

Yeah right. Just as Berkeley and Santa Cruz are both part of the University of California.

The real smart guys hang out at Caltech though.

Don't feel that you won't get a good job because of the course that you're doing. I know of a few people that graduated from your course that have really good jobs now including traineeships in the top accounting firms and law firms.
