Loads of frames for $0.00 and a code glasses990 to give glasses for $9.90 I found that the code still knocked off $2 for orders under $9.90 so you can get a pair of glasses uncoated delivered for around €8

I've also found that when you order uncoated they come coated a lot of the time anyway.

Order uncoated as they arrive saying as a bonus they coated them.

Got Tommy Hilfiger glasses for 35. 180 in Specsavers.

Wasn't expecting much but I recently got prescription glasses from them and was very impressed. Saved myself a good bit of money instead of buying from my usual opticians. Great selection too. I'd personally definitely recommend them.

Silly question but I ware glasses and have had the same pair for 4 years now how would I go about getting a pair of this site I don't even know my prescription ( What is the cheapest way)

15 quid in specsavers for a test. Make sure to ask them for the results printed as they try a trick of keeping it to make you go back in.

Theres an option while buying that says you can upload a picture of your prescription. take a pic with your phone and your sorted. make sure you do this way.

Ive never had glasses that didnt to be honest. No worse than any others. Didnt have that many pairs so im not the best person to ask.

I usually get regular coating but for my last order I got Premium Lens with EMI. Haven't received them yet but I will post here when I do and let you know the difference.
They should be here any day, hopefully!

Coatings are to provide scratch resitance and anti reflective properties. If you order non coated they seem to come coated anyway. Optician told me that 'non coated' is basically a scam as they come coated by default and to get non coated ones he would haveto make a special order and end up costing him a few cent more.

As far as I know the emi thing is a throw back to crt monitors that emitted high amounts of radiaton even then theres no evidence that the radiation is harmful. LCD screens emit tiny amounts in comparison to CRT.

Did you get your premium with EMI lenses yet? If so did you notice any difference to the standard ones?

Sorry for not updating! I did get the glasses and what I noticed was my glasses didn't get as grubby as they do without the coating. I got it on pairs since.

Anybody used goggles4u.com recently or is there any alternative. And if so does anybody know delivery times? A family member is going to the U.S. for about a month and I was going to get glasses delivered to them while they are there.

I have bought many, many pairs of glasses from multiple online companies. Namely Goggles4u, Firmoo and Zennioptical. In terms of quality, I have found it goes 1. Zenni 2. Goggles4u 3. Firmoo.

Zenni is the most expensive and you can get to 40-50USD easily for a nice pair. I have found recently that Specsavers and Visionexpress have some good budget glasses, so have a look there first.

Now if you have a high prescription, these online companies will generally always be cheaper for the more exotic lens types.

EDIT: Sorry, typo on which company was the most expensive!

I’ve used goggles4u a few times and never had an issue. Recently however I ordered from glasses direct and they were much better quality. They’re £49 including lenses but most are buy one get one free and you get £30 off your first order so 2 pairs of glasses for £19 - about €32 including delivery

I had a run in with them too. So much so that within 4 months I had them "Optilaised"!!
