I was at a rather forgetful house party that probably didnt fit the title of "celebration of the millennium"

I was at home. House party full of my mother's friends. I remember getting some sort of lap dance from her wild 40+ year old friend on the couch.

    I was 11. Good craic.

I was 14 and all my siblings - older and younger - were out enjoying the parade and sparklers and some sort of drink. I was at home with a tummy bug. Still bugs me...

In a friend's house getting horribly drunk. I remember wandering around the estate talking nonsense to other drunk people. I had to work at 8am the next day - I was sick and it was awful.

I was nine, at a small party. My parents' friend had this toy where there was a white plasticky screen and then someone pressed a button on this remote thingamajig and there was a big flash and the shadowy imprint of whatever was in front of the screen would appear. Mad craic, and my lasting memory of the night, haven't even a vague recollection of the countdown.

I was somewhere in France. I was 10. My Dad was playing a gig and my cousin and I were Irish dancing for it! It was very exciting because there was a live webcam feed on the internet, which was kinda new those days. In France anyway. Was sh*te quality I'd say.

I was 13, family party at my aunties house with kareoke - I remember singing http://youtu.be/mM0-ZU8njdo or something like that with my cousin, and we all went outside for the countdown, joined hands and sang the Auld Lang Syne, oh and had my first glass of champagne followed by a few glasses of bucks fizz :)

I was about 16, and I was alone that night watching TV. I think the rest of my family had gone to relatives.
