Lg Smart tv and Thumbnails View Problem.

    Hi folks ,

    Hope this is in the correct area . Here's my problem / query . I have a Goflex network drive attached to my network from which I create store and watch all
    of my movies through my LG Smart tv .I also use PLEX and Im sure some of you are familiar with it and it works fine . However , when I don't want to have my PC on and use PLEX I navigate directly to my Goflex drive and once I navigate into my various movie folders , I find that only some of my movie thumbnails are viewable and some are not .I have created ( all ) of my movies in the same format and i have named them starting with 001 ect and upwards .So what my question is : why on earth would the TV recognize some movies with a thumbnail and others not at all .Since my movies are named in a numeric sequence as i have said namely 001 , 002 , ect I need to be able to ( see ) the thumbnail to be able to identify the movie ( cover ) . I have tried several things but to no avail so i need some expert out there .., Thanks ....

    Are the thumbnails pictures that are in the movies folder? Or images it pulls from the avi? If pictures the compare one that works to a folder of one that does not work. More than likely the images need to be a jpg file and a certain size.

    Hi Jamesd ,

    The folder view ( when I navigate using my Smart TV ) finds the actual movie itself regardless of whether or not there is a corresponding Jpeg image file in the folder . What stumps me is that one folder will show the movies as thumbnail images and other folders just shows a blank greyed out image and ( refuses ) to show the thumbnail .Heres a rough mock up of what i see on my smart tv view attached ( i hope ) in .png format .
