BMW 2008 era - timing chain issue in 2l diesels

Folks, As we all know, the 2 litre engines in the 2008 era of BMW's have a timing chain issue. Question is, does this apply to all 2 litre diesel engines? I was advised to stay away from the 520d, assume the 320d is same engine? -EDIT- Never mind, it's the N47 engine which is used across the board
