What pattern of IF are ya following Brian? And congrats!

Paleo is just about changing the types of food you eat.

Counting calories tends to be about losing weight/fat.

Your answer probably depends more on why you are thinking about Calories. Are you trying to lose/gain weight/fat?

I'm thinking about calories because I want to lose 3st (i'm 16st 9lbs - 5f 8in) and see where I'm at then , I've done nearly a week of Paleo now and I must admit outside of 2/3 moments I haven't really missed bread etc. Definitely feel less bloated also.

Well I recommend getting as much nutritious food into you as you can while losing weight. 1800 calories a day is below what most adults need on a daily basis so you'll probably lose weight/fat alright. Careful not to overdo it and also drink plenty of water.

Thanks for the feedback , yeah I'm eating meat, plenty of veg and some fruit and nuts. I might up it to 2000 calories, this way of eating is appealing to me for the long term but while I still need to lose wait I'll be keeping a close eye on the calories.

Is there anywhere in Dublin that stocks Coconut Aminos or is iherb my only option?

I started with the aminos and now I have quite the iherb habit! Love getting my box of random treats - current order on it's way includes make-up brushes, lavendar body wash, macadamia nuts, vanilla extract :D

i was just about to place an order on iherb and noticed that theyre out of stock of coconut aminos and most of the coconut flours.
Does this happen often, or do they generally restock quick enough?

Also, has anyone been hit by customs? or does it not apply to food?

    Thanks

The coconut aminos seem to regularly goes out of stock, don't think they can keep up with demand. Still on my last tin of coconut flour so can't comment on that. They usually re-stock within 2-3 weeks and it will eventually go from out of stock to stock expected in x days.
Never been hit by customs in over 10 orders...

If it's your first order you could use my ref code PIH598 to get $5 off if less than $40, $10 if more.

Yeah i'm living in Argentina where its impossible to get coconut flour and aminos (and it's also impossible to get goods sent in without paying a huge customs tax). So i'm going to order and hopefully it'll get to ireland before my week long visit at home next month.

So Holland and Barrett have a buy 1, get 1 half price.

It's on these milled chia seeds which work their price out to about €9 per pack if you buy 2:

usually they are 9.99 in tesco:

It's been a while since I looked up Chia seeds and paleo. Last time (a good few months ago), they seemed like a good food to have. So I did a search today and the few results I picked from google are confusing:

    http://www.marksdailyapple.com/is-it-primal-chia-seeds-black-rice-refined-avocado-oil-and-other-foods-scrutinized/#axzz2wi6178iZ

It's like they are saying Chia is good (in theory) but might have some not so good effects (but still good all the same???... confusing)

I like to mash up a banana with some milled chia seeds and a tiny bit of honey. It tastes NYOM.
