1. What is your budget? €250 - could stretch to €300 if needed

2. What will be the main purpose of the computer? Work PC - Excel / Internet / E Mail. Also work with some graphics but nothing too serious.

3. Do you need a copy of Windows? No

4. Can you use any parts from an old computer? No

5. Do you need a monitor? No

5a. If yes, what size do you need. N/A

5b. If no, what resolution is your current monitor and do you plan to upgrade in the near future? No plans to upgrade, have an LG 22" running 1920X1080 and second monitor via VGA max 1366x768

6. Do you need any of these peripherals? No

7. Are you willing to try overclocking? No unlikely I will require it

8. How can you pay? Credit Card

9. When are you purchasing? In the next few weeks (end of Jan)

10. If you need help building it, where are you based? Hopefully not, based in Wicklow

May not be a glamours as an all out gaming rig but I need to start small!!

It will be my first build and looking to replace my old and slow laptop that I have hooked up to a couple of monitors.
I would like something with a bit of power as I would be working with multiple programs at any time but on a budget. Would like to keep the unit as small as it will be sitting under my desk. Would also like to keep the PSU as quiet as possible as don't want it to be annoying other people. I have an bit of knowledge of PC and parts but PSU's and good cases are a bit out of my league.

Any help would be great!

Looks okay. I see the ASRock FM2A75M Pro4+ seems to support a triple monitor setup. If planning to use 3 monitors, however, realise that it's a max of 2GB of memory between all monitors, so keep that in mind with the 4GB's, as you'll probably have access to less than 4GB's (for your applications) if using all three outputs (DVI/VGA/HDMI). By the way, are you installing a 32bit or 64bit version of Windows?

Also, DO NOT GET THEM TO PUT IT TOGETHER. Seeing a lot of threads of them fecking things up.

One thing I will mention about the case; the low profile will restrict you upgrading your graphics at a later stage, as you'll have a smaller selection of graphics cards, as they'll have to be low profile. Perhaps look at the "mini" desktops?

Also, look into spending the extra €32.63 for the AMD A8-6500 APU mit AMD Radeon HD 8570D Grafik as it's a quad core, and in my (very biased) opinion, quad core handles multiple applications better. Someone else may say otherwise, though.

Only one VGA out, whilst the OP needs multiple monitors, so would need a graphics card that could support multiple monitors. As opposed to the current mobo in the OP that allows a triple monitor setup.

Thanks for the feedback! I'm only plan to stick with the 2 outputs but I liked the idea of an option of the third. Do you think I would be better off sticking another 4gb in as well?

I'll be running a Windows 8 64 bit.

Re the case that did cross my mind re future expansion, it's just a delicate balance between size and functionality. I'll have another look at where I plan to stick the unit and see if I can live with a mini tower.

And the A8 processor I would love to stick into it! I was thinking of dropping the DVD burner as I have an external one handy and save a few €€€ to bump it up to the A8

Case is out of stock at the moment. Is the PSU ok for this case and Mobo?

Never heard of the PSU make "Xilence", so I'll say don't get it. A quick check on Amazon.co.uk and none of it's products have any reviews, so would advise against it. My experience of no-name/little known brand PSU's are bad (it nearly killed my system).

Corsair are a good brand that I've often used, and another brand that you could get would be "be quiet!". Never used them myself, but BloodBath often lists it, and I trust Bloodbaths judgement.

I'm fully aware that both the cheap Corsair and "be quite" PSU's are all not in stock, but they'll probably come back into stock in the new year. Something good being out of stock is sometimes because it's good

I'd say a (branded) 350watt PSU should be enough for your system.
