Rooney for me, safe option I think

Norwich are notorious for raising their game against United, they could only have 8 players & still fight as if their lives depended on it.I'm not too sure about captaining Rooney away to them.

Might take a cheeky punt on YaYa.

    Half considering YaYa myself. :p

As long as you arent the one starting the United match thread, we'll be fine with Rooney :p

Putting all my eggs in the City basket. Captained Yaya and brought in Nasri and Dzeko.

I may well regret this mulled wine influenced decision but what the hell!

Has to be Negredo with Walcott/Suarez as VC. Dzeko is very worth the punt though especially with the wildcard coming up, it could pay off very nicely. However, if it's another Negredo start with Dzeko getting his 15 minutes then it'd be a disaster.

I think the safest option is Rooney but I don't have him so it'll have to be Negredo, he has been horribly unlucky of late and I'm sure Mancini will want to give him the chance to nab some goals as a reward for his performances, and what better game to do this in than against CPL?

Are they rotating managers now aswell?

captained Negredo with Rooney as vice-captain.

If negredo doesn't play its not the end of the world, i have Turner to come on and save the day.

It has to be city player, top scoring team(51 goals scored ) vs near bottom team (27 conceded).
Im going with silva, hes a very attacking player and should get the full 90,as some allready said they dont want to take the foot of the gas now!!
    VC goes to Yaya.

Same here, Silva at home to Crystal Palace sounds good. Not expetcting double score, but should be clean sheet with a goal and an assist or two.
Worried that Chelsea will park the bus stopping Suarez from scoring...
Silva for now, might switch to Suarez later.

Going with Walcott. Will be a huge differential if he scores well and I need to move up the rankings. Nothing to lose.

    Silva or Rooney??

Currently have the latter captain and the former vice. That's the safe option on paper, but tempted by silva playing behind the striker possibly.

Swapped again and won't change it again. Silva as captain, Rooney as vice.

Too much chocolate earlier................... he ain't getting it!
And if he scores 15 points, that's fine with me, he's differential enough as it is.

    Silva gets it. Walcott VC

Please go with Walcott. I need a pal too. :D

All the Silva love is scaring me now lads. I have him and all this positive energy is bound to put some kind of voodoo spell on him. He's only just back from injury too on top of the perceived yellow card threat. I'm struggling to field a midfield at all with Ravel and Mirallas being struck down with shady injuries on top of my doubts over Ozil getting a rest too.

I won't be captaining him anyway but if he scores massive I'll be delighted all the same.

D'ya know what... Since you asked, I will :D
My head was saying Silva because he's the home player, my gut was saying Walcott.
Walcott isn't a risky Away player IMO, he might even offer a little bit more than he does when playing at Home.
I was looking for a differential, I've found a safer one, thanks ;)

Silva was one of the best transfers I made this year - brought him in just after the CL game (GW16), and he not only scored and assisted , but got BP's too (25 points from 3 games). He deserves an armband this week.
Another player I brought at the same time was Rooney, who got me 38 points in 3 games, I captained him this week and it paid off really well.
The best transfer i made was Suarez - in GW 6 right before his first game. I might suck at this game sometimes, but all players I brought right after injury / ban are a jackpot. Suarez didn't stop, why would Silva or Rooney?
The only reason I go Silva ahead of Rooney is that City at home likes to score, so there is a much greater chance of Silva being involved.

Going for Rooney as I'm not confident Negredo will start.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,268 ✭✭✭IsMiseMyself

I bottled it. Had it on Neg, but bought into all the suggested line-ups with Dzeko starting. Had it on YaYa, but he doesn't often hit double figures. Gave in and put it on Suarez. Fully expecting Chelsea to park the bus, but I'll be happy if he gets a single goal. :/ I wish I had Rooney right about now!

Now so my next conundrum. The captaincy.

It's between Suarez, Rooney, Walcott and Silva. I don't trust Lukaku as far as I can throw him. Norwich without Turner like I said earlier but are no dead certs to roll over at home. It sits on Suarez but that's no fun. I clearly need sleep but when I meddle in the morning things go awry.

    :(

I have Suarez, Walcott, Yaya, Silva, Negredo and Luakaku!

Is there a man, woman or child out there that wants to influence my captaincy choice in any way at all?

Myself and my main competitor in my main league are Liverpool supporters and absolutely love Suarez, have picked him week in week out. We're very close on pts and I know for a fact he will go for Suarez again this week, as we always do. Do I continue to pick Suarez or do I take a risk this week and hope for a big captaincy differential against him? Decisions :P

Went for Rooney in e end, followed the scout poll. At 24% ownership a good return from Rooney could be a slight differential especially if Suarez misfires again.

    Silva captained, Suarez vc'd.

Really between Roo and Negredo for me this w/nd, Lukaku seems totally inert lately so i ditched him.
CP seem to be doing well keeping teams to low scores but i just feel Negredo is the lynch pin up front for city today who are on form so hoping he bags a couple of goals..rooney is tempting though, always good for double figures...hmm

I strongly considered Yaya but I feel he may be on the bench today. I didnt go for Suarez as he has a poor record against big teams. I went for Lukaku begrudgingly.
