Suarez this week.Took it off him for city but I think he will score against Chelsea

Rooney or Silva for me,prob Rooney. Suarez might score v Chelsea, but doubt he'll back a huge FPL score.

Rooney is a safe bet but i think Suarez is abit of a risk

Wondering if negredo would start for city as they are playing within 48 hrs. Dzeko would start, my vote goes to silva

Between Rooney and Suarez for me. Too much doubt about Man City rotation with 2 games in 3 days to trust any if them with the armband.

Expecting similar tactics from Jose that he employed against Arsenal. Park the bus play for a draw. Rooney captain.

I don't expect totally similar. Chelsea are at home this time. They were away to Arsenal in the 0-0 draw. He'll go for a 1-0 win I'd say.

Yeah no chance he's playing for a draw at home. Could be a good game

Early days I know but Suarez only on 6% after 48% going with him away to the best team in the league the previous gw. Shows the fickle nature of this game.

The thing is he easily could have had 3 assists yesterday.

Have it on Negredo at the minute but i'll wait to hear how bad the injury. If he wont be playing i'll give the armband to silva

What injury? The "injury" where Pellegrini said he was tired?

i thought he limped off the pitch?

Silva for me. And rooney as vice.
The vice captains could be important this week!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,880 ✭✭✭✭dahat

I want to captain Silva but wary of a non start, i will have Rooney as vice as he is a confirmed starter.

The various polls will be interesting this week.

What happens if Silva gets a ten minute 1 point run at the end though?

Then that would be 2 points for him!

Seriously though, that is the risk at this time of year....all the big hitters are rotation risks.

This is the fear, Silva is a better candidate than Rooney this week imo but possible resting of him may lead me to change my mind.

He did. Dzeko replaced him if I'm not mistaken.

Torn between Silva, Adebayor and Rooney atm.

Very tempted to get Dzeko in for Lukaku and captain him. If not probably Rooney.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,592 ✭✭✭✭Dont be at yourself

Dzeko for me. Even if Negredo is just tired, a home game against Crystal Palace 48hrs after his last game is the perfect time to rest him.

Yes but his manager said he was just tired.

Suarez, without a shadow of doubt.

    Can't believe he's only at 12%.

Because he's away to Chelsea! There are clearly better options.

Have you a link for this? I couldn't find it online.

If he is even just tired though, why not start Dzeko or Jovetic and test him. Bring him on if needed.

I'm sticking with Suarez I think, although Rooney is very tempting against Norwich.

The only place I've seen it (bar on here) is from the BBC's Ian Cheeseman.

Even that tweet though just says he "could" be fit.

Yes, that was the journalist giving his opinion. He has the word ''tired'' in quotation marks, indicating that Pellegrini actually said that.

Fit or not, I do think there's a decent chance he'll be rested tomorrow. He's played a lot of games lately and Palace at home is a good time to rest him.

Blatter has linked to where I seen it.
Jovetic was injured for yesterdays game . I've seen nothing to suggest he'll be availbale for tomorrow.

Apart from Rooney or maybe Walcott I don't see any other outstanding candidates. Chelsea's defence this year has been awful. Suarez was excellent yesterday despite ending up with 1 point.

Lukaku is too inconsistent and nobody seems to know who will start up front for City.

If u look at tunnel cam on city site, he limped down tunnel with ice pack taped to his calf.

He had an illness according to Physioroom and will be fit for the weekend.

He was back from injury pre Xmas AFAIK and I haven't heard of any new injury which would have him out long term.

Jovetic is out with a hamstring problem according to Sky Sports.

Thanks for that. Makes it a bit clearer with him definitely out of the picture.

Not sure. Bit sorry for Suarez against City, because that one point doesn't speak at all to the fact he was excellent. Tempted to give the armband to Negredo, but again worried about rotation. At home to Crystal Palace...they should walk it, but it's exactly the kind of game where they'll take the foot off the gas, especially about the battle they had with Pool only 48 hours ago.

So as of right now, I don't know.

Turner out for Norwich, more reason to go with Rooney

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 33,954 ✭✭✭✭CSF

Think I'm just going to take the risk with Negredo. If I had Rooney, I wouldn't, but I don't and amn't bringing him in because I've already made 3 transfers, so no.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 33,954 ✭✭✭✭CSF

Bottled it. Transfer number 4. Lukaku out for Dzeko who is now captain.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,022 ✭✭✭✭Iused2likebusts

i think for anyone considering getting dzeko in the only reason to do it is if you are going to make him captain. Its the ultimate one week punt.

Yeah. Can get away with it with it being wildcard season too.

Still chewing on it. If I had Rooney, it'd be his. But I don't. Am now leaning towards Suarez. Could see him managing two against Chelsea, but it's a risk too. Sigh.

Rooney for me, safe option I think

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test
