Pity the weather didn't pick up before EY45 headed for Manchester. I'd love to be able to listen to Manchester to get a heads up on when it'll be back.

yeah they couldn't hold any longer... they were circling for a good 45 mins at one stage!

Yeah, I had a quick look at FR24 on my phone after clearing security and they were still in the hold so I figured there'd be a delay at best.

Yeah do they have a record of this? Remember a quote from O'Leary saying about either EI or BA "they just cancelled everything, we were up there flying and getting people where they wanted to go" :D Think it was EI

ETA: I guess it has something to do with FR's flexible model. They can run rings around the others because of the way they run things.

I think they can forego luxuries such as catering or airbridges etc...

RYR674W is due into Cork soon. Wind has died down a good bit here in the past hour, so I don't forsee any problems for it on approach.

Morning all, time to pick up where I left off. The storm seems to have knocked an average of 20 mins off the transatlantic flights this morning.

Thats what I thought but they were talking about all aircraft as well as individual. Just never would have been an issue for ATC :pac:

Maybe the crew just want a bit of a banquet with all this waiting about.

It's too windy to have the vehicles service the aircraft as they jack up beside the aircraft and may be blown over damaging the aircraft.

I've seen some interesting things over the years working at the airport but the attempt at landing by the 108 was spectacular.

    For good or bad reason?

It was a panel, not a door.
