It is always hard to tell. The Philidelphia cheese mixed with cadburys came out at the same time as the same cheese mixed with milka.

There is obviously some corporate nepotism going on there.

But overall I think Milka win given they did this:

Butlers. Take your peasant chocolate with you on your way out the door.

Does chocolate make anyone else cough if they eat it? I'm not mad about it anyway but if I bother to eat a sweet I'll be coughing with it....?

    Heroes or celebrations

I used to be mad about Roses but they've changed man, they've changed. The chocolate they use is a lot sweeter than that used for dairy milk and the likes.

Has to be heroes or celebrations, or Lindt lindor if I'm feeling especially fancy.

Was gonna slate Roses & Quality St for having discontinued the flavours i liked.... but I see that Roses has brought back some sort of Coffee Creme variety.
Can anybody confirm whether it is the same as before?

Quality Streets have to be the most disgusting sweets ever.

Right on! Snowballs FTW. Haven't changed in years!!!

Roses lost the dairy-milk to heroes. Remember when roses had miniature dairy-milk and bourneville bars? And the chocolate actually tasted like cadburys chocolate?

Heroes have toblerones in, which ain't even cadburys, are they? Confusing... The creme egg sweets aren't a cousin to a creme egg! Celebrations are 'daycent' but those malteasers are a joke. Same as the creme egg 'sweet'. No relation.

My missus bought me a box of 'just' the dairy milk sweets (formerly roses tin, now in with the heroes). This box was in the shape of a milk carton. I ate the lot. In one sitting.

Thank you dairy milk, for saving Christmas!

    Quality Streets

They are the only ones who haven't changed their recipe or shuffled around the wrappers etc down through the years.. they are the same now as they were when I was a kid.. or pretty close anyway!

I know where I stand with those badboys!!

I actually boycotted Roses this year.. to my disgust I only got 4 toffees in an entire tin of Roses last year and I swore I wouldn't buy into their bullsh1t ever again.

Also, they dressed the caramel keg up to look like a yellow toffee.

    Dirty.

**** all that ****. Lindt is the ultimate chocolate. It's fairly expensive but worth it.

    Celebrations, followed by Heroes.
Roses have gotten rid of most of the good ones, while Quality Street have always been vile.

Oooooooh you just reminded me that me mammy bought me a box of them. mmmmmmm.

Out of the "tinned" sweets selection, definitely Quality Street. Loads of toffees, yum. Roses are gone to shyte - hey ruined their brazilian toffee by making it smaller and softer. The got rid of the picnics out of heroes and added feckin mini toblerones - and cream eggs? they're for easter, not christmas. Celebrations are alright too but they got rid of the topics.

I didn't buy any this year.

    Celebrations all the way here.

    Quality Street are the worst.

Five boxes of stuff came into our house, all Quality Street :(

Can't believe the hate for Quality Street on here. I used to be a Roses and Milk Tray man but they are both so sickly sweet now that I'm no longer interested. A lot of people are saying Heroes or Celebrations but they're both very bland IMO. Just miniature versions of bars with hardly any variety and the lack of orange and strawberry fondants is another mark against them. Give me a selection box above any of that nonsense please.

Someone mentioned Butlers there and they are good. Leonidas too, provided there are no liqueurs.
