I find Reginald D. Hunter an absolute twit. I saw him somewhere recently, and still trying to decide if he is a misogynist, or whether being tongue in cheek. I am veering on the former though. TBH was surprised a bit at him, expected him to be better.

Jimmy Carr and Dylan Moran are my favourite. Moran is an absolute genius, and I love the shock factor of Carr.

Although I also love Joan Rivers, her anecdote about the husband's suicide and the subsequent dinner with her daughter is one of the funniest and saddest things I have ever heard.

Seen him in New York a few years back. The funniest show ive ever seen, I was quite literally crying with the laughter.

The problem with many comedians is they do the same stuff over and over, Sarah Millican we get your fat and men don't like you, same with Jo Brand, Tommy Tiernan just offending for the sake of it. I like comedians who are clever make you think, don't no why Bill Hicks get hate on this thread not saying i agree with everything he was saying but some stuff made you really think and he made some very good observations IMO. I like Dara O'Brian he has very good timing. I hate those crap Irish comedians who's entire stand up is based on "how much the Irish Drink, Irish scumbag culture. Guys like Jason Byrne, Neil Delamere are **** IMO.

Its because completely unfunny asshats are being pushed down out throats these days.

Take Anchorman for instance....Will Ferrell isn't funny at all and Steve Carell is even worse.

There are still some good comedians out there, but depending on what sort of comedy you're into, things may be a bit too PC nowadays. Eddie Murphy for example wouldn't get away with some of the stuff he said during the 80's if he were to use that material now.

I think John Bishop is very good. He doesn't have to resort to swearing and taboo topics to get a laugh, but he wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea.

I think it was at Live Aid or some similar variety how a few months ago he had a 10 minute bit, and about 8 and a half of those were him walking up and down the stage... commenting on how he was walking up and down the stage. And how the people were watching him walk up and down the stage. And how the camera crew at the front of the stage were watching him walk up and down the stage. And how... oh look the crew were having to be careful to not step on their wires while following him up and down, from the foot of the stage. And... oh, look, I'm walking up and down the stage!

If it had been on whatever one of those reality judging shows he does (did?) he'd have easily been buzzed out in about 30 seconds... 45 tops.

Nah, I think his stuff translates well even if you don't know SA.

I saw him open for Eddie Izzard last year and, it pains me to say it, he nearly upstaged Izzard.

Glad to see he's coming our way soon.
