    3 yrs ago 10 pints and it would be up, up and away.......now at the tender age of 20, 2 of the wet buggers and its "show me the way to go home" time. isnt galway great for harvesting underage alchos and ruining them before they are hardly legal?!!

    Absinthe is a strong herbal liqueur distilled with a great number of flavorful herbs like anise, licorice, hyssop, veronica, fennel, lemon balm, angelica and wormwood (the flavor of anise and/or licorice, at least in contemporary forms of the liquor, tends to predominate). Wormwood, the one that's gained the most notoriety, is Artemisia absinthum, an herb that grows wild in Europe and has been cultivated in the United States as well. Much of the liquor's legendary effect is due to its extremely high alcohol content, ranging from 50% to 75% (usually around 60%), plus the contribution of the various herbs. It has been assumed by many that the so-called "active ingredient" in absinthe is wormwood, although that is apparently not really the case.

    It was traditionally served with ice water and a cube of sugar; the sugar cube was placed on a slotted "absinthe spoon", and the water was drizzled over the sugar into the glass of absinthe (typically in a 3:1 or 4:1 ratio). The sugar helped take the bitter edge from the absinthe, and when the water is drizzled into the the liquor it all turns milky greenish-white (the effect is called "louche").

    weirdly enough if i drink 4-5 pints of larger im well merry but when it comes to guinness or smithwicks which are two of my favorite pints.....6-7 is the same effect as 4-5 larger

    One night when i was younger i drank a nagan of bacardi and 14 can's of dutch gold. It was my best ever drinking experience

    mmm...how much can I drink?! on special occasions I have been known to drink quite a bit....what constitutes a special occasion? well last September i came home from holidays and went out with my best friend, I hadnt seen him for about 4/5 weeks....that seemed like a special occasion....so I drank about 12/13 jack daniels and coke....well there wasnt that much coke really! Another example is a friends bday party a couple of years ago...8 rounds of tequila ontop of a couple of cans of Bud and bout a third of a bottle of Bacardi....Im thinking I can hold my drink :p

    last weekend i noticed that if i drink 3pints im a bit merry but if i hav anothe one it wipes the effect so i can hold about 9-10pints of bud and some shorts...and no not the short you wear pornapster be4 you start annoyin me. (shorts - me: sambucka, Vodka, JD, anything really)...

    learn how to drink!

    kept a steady intake of beer from first year, most ever i had was about 15 pints and a smathering of vodkas and alchopops at the end of second year after the exams, we had a keg of carlsberg in the house.
    started 5 or 6 ish and after the night club we were up for a merry old night.

    normally we'd have about 6 cans of dutch on a thurs night and head out about ten at least 4-5 more beers then fat frogs....

    yep learn how to drink.


    drink fast and then slow down. not the other way.
    drink shots early on, not at the end of the night when you are pissed and dont need them.

    you process 1 pint per hour. so if you are at a good drunken state just drink one or 2 pints an hour from then on.

    as shane magowan calls it "coasting"

    the problem is the drunker you get the faster you can drink and vodka and coke just tastes of vodka, so you end up ruined.

    ever drink vodka and coke at home. by the end of the night people end up mixing it almost half and half

    Was talking to me da a few days ago and i realised our generation are amateurs. Asked him what the most he drank in one night was...........28 pints in 8 hours

    After 28 pints ide definately have to be hospitalised

    He no longer drinks btw
