TK Maxx is Penney's for people who haven't quite gotten around to wearing pyjamas outside.

TK Maxx is Brown Thomas for people who have failed in life :pac:

I love TK Max, although yesterday I was there and noticed those fake brands like something Copenhagen etc. Before I might buy it, I wouldn't now as I think it is overpriced.

However other stuff is quiet cheap, although it might be lower quality.

Went to Dunnes after TK Max and when I saw their prices I thought it's a joke. 15 euro for Dunnes T-Shirt .. you can get nice Nike T-shirt in TK Max for 9 euro.

Do people shop in TkMaxx just because they get discounts? I never even look at the RRPs when I shop there. I just like to find nice clothes and makeup at decent prices.

Anyone who spends over 100 on a pair of jeans or any item of clothing is an idiot. Regardless of what the shop is called

I am the same. I never look at the RRP when buying stuff there. I find it good for good for basic knit wear, the odd dress for a wedding, work wear, scarves and leather handbags. I buy because I like the items rather than the brand etc.

My nearest TK Maxx is well laid out and clothes are divided into type and size so browsing is quite easy. One of the things I like about it is at a wedding etc you are unlikely to see a person wearing the same thing.

Also the kitchen section is good.

Totally disagree. You can buy crud in brown thomas the same as you can buy in tk maxx. People are stupid and will fritter their money away somehow anyway

But there are the odd absolute gem, real quality for tiny prices in tk maxx

Caveat emptor. Same in any shop

There's an awful lot of tat there; but I've picked up decent jeans (Levis etc) for around 30. I don't give a crap if they're a season or two old. Not mad on the shopping experience there though.

Any item of clothing? You can get years out of a good jacket or pair of shoes, which could well cost over 100.

RRP is meaningless. If I like the price, I buy it. If I don't, I don't.
