Ps3 disc reader not reading help please

As said in the description it's not reading but when you put disc in it registers disc loading wheel but then nothing happens is there any good honest places to get this fixed fast in Galway ? Plase help

Does the disc spin? Does it make any noises as like its getting caught on anything?

Just fixed a fat model recently the spin motor was gone in the drive that spins the disc.

If the disc spins then it's most likely the laser, if it doesn't spin then its the spin motor or getting caught on something (has happened).

Yep sounds like replacement laser, no fix apart from that. May download some games until that.
